just going to the gym is a good start.. jumping rope running 1-6 miles and doing sprimts up a big ass hill.

Press-ups, chin-ups, sit-ups.

Go running add some sprinting.

GO BOXING. Join a gym, hit the heavybag, hit the pads, shadowbox.

i use weights to work shoulders,arms and legs.i use body weight or a medball to work everything else.

BTW does anyone have a copy of a pros workout sheet i heard on here someone had oscar de la hoyas if so i would like to see what they would do

there is probably info about pro workouts in the older threads.

i would recomend bodyweight exercise for boxers, but if you insist on lifting.

downpull, benchpress, knebend, military press, bicepcurls and triceppushdown are good boxing exercises.

squats
calf raise
medball push-ups
med ball throws
cleans
lateral raise
military press
side raises
dips
pull-ups
bicep tricep curls
plyometrics
lunges
abs
back
sprints 10 40yrds
jump rope
jog 2-6 miles
do 3 sets to faliure

congradualtions on wanting to start boxing, this surely is a great sport.
It would need alot of will power and motivation and last but not least Heart!
