Got these questions for my CS quiz and their isnt a reference to any of them in the book...Anyone wish to help me out?

1. If you have a combination of text and numbers in a cell, is there a restriction on what can be done to or with those those cell contents, in terms of a formula in Excel? Answer yes/no, and explain.

2. Excel provides a Formula Wizard to help you setup and build formulas. Name one way you can get into Formula Editing mode in Excel, and invoke the Formula Wizard.

excel for dummies

1) maybe, i guess its yes, cuz when you combine text and numbers in a cell it becomes text, therefore restricting it to be used for calculations.

2) press the formula (fx) paste function.

if you listen to me your going to flunk your exam ... i cant wait for the expert to give their replies ...

1. what jomapac said. The cell becomes an alphanumeric value. You can use it as a reference or as a condition in a formula (example IF functions), but you cannot use it directly to obtain a result.

2. press the fx button on the formula bar or via Insert, Formula on the menu bar.
