I gotta go with Holyfield. I think he is the more accomplished fighter overall.

Taking nothing away from Lennox but Evander was the better fighter.

hard to pick Lennox got the better of Holyfield in the ring for sure.
However Holyfield faught Tyson nearer to his peak, than Lennox. But i got to go with Lennox he avenged all his losses and quit with dignity at the right time, without making himself look a bum and continue fighting into generitric years

I agree with all of this, but the question does state 'Remembered' and the majority will only remember that Lewis beat him, even though Holyfield did better some of their common opponents more impressively, that's how it is..

Take Foreman for example, he made easy work of everyone that Ali struggled with, but couldn't beat the man himself, and that's mostly what gets remembered..

Holyfield. The things that stand out to me that makes most fighters memorable are their quality of opposition and exciement generated when they had a fight upcoming. Both Lewis and Holyfield fought the absolute best competition that was available to them, so that's a push. When it comes to the week before a fight, however, I can remember being excited for almost every Holyfield fight in the 90's. When Lewis fought, however, it was hard to drum up excitement. Lewis just didn't generate the same kind of anticipatory buzz that Evander did.

One of the things I remember about Lewis and Holyfield that really separate them in terms of great v great is that Holyfield usually put on action packed fights because he could take an amazing amount of damage. Lewis, on the other hand, had an entirely unreliable chin (getting stretched by a single punch twice in title fights) and could never engage in the same give-and-take fights that made Holyfield much more watchable.

Lewis was superior head-to-head, but what Holyfield accomplished was more impressive.

Holyfield - 4 Time Heavyweight Champ & undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.. defeated Tyson, Bowe, Foreman, Holmes, Mercer, Dokes, Braxton, Douglas, Rahman, Ruiz & Moorer... also lost very dubious decisions against Lewis & Valuev.

You're obviously an experienced head, and way infront of the average boxing Joe's who go by results only, and I agree with your train of thought entirely..
As a Heavyweight though, I feel Lewis was the more dominant of the 2, but as already mentioned by Inferno, Evander leaves Lewis standing on a P4P list..

Agree with the above.

If you just mean HW, which the title obviously suggests, then it's Lewis. Overall though Holyfield had a greater career.
