Very impressive, benching anything over your own weight is impressive. The only slight critique I may offer is that he arches his back off the bench.

**** you mother you racist cunt !that message dosent sound like a joke..

tinkering was a profession amung the travelling communitys in ireland back in the day when you couldent just throw something out you had to get it mended

Many of them earned their living by crafts such metalworking: until not so long ago, all Irish travellers were referred to as tinkers, the word deriving from the Irish tinceard (tinsmith). Today it is often seen as an insult and many get upset if you call them tinkers. I am proud of it. In those days, people could not afford to buy a new pot or kettle if they found a hole in their old one. They had to repair things, a skill that has almost disappeared in our modern consumer society. How many young women – or men, for that matter – can even darn a sock today? Most of the travellers’ traditional crafts – spoon-mending, tinsmithing, flower-making – have gone by the way, destroyed by new inventions and mass production, but in those days they were vital.

My great-grandfather, Bartley Gorman – who took the mantle King of the Tinkers after beating Jack Ward – was a genuine travelling tinsmith. I have a treasured photograph of him as an old man, mending a pot, his great fists and his battered face bearing testimony to a lifetime of fighting

That's actually pretty good for his weight. However, he didn't even TNG, the bar barely touched his chest, which any experienced lifter will tell you doesn't count as a rep.

But it's good nonetheless

Back when I weighed 160 I was benching 245 3-4 times. My friend holds our hs record when he benched 305 at only 155 pounds. Just 10 pounds less than this kid, but weighed quite a bit less. Still extremely impressive none the less.

But it's good nonetheless:blow:Shut up man ...most of those reps touched ! In most gyms that was as good a set as you will see from a man that weighs 79kg benching 140kg ....lets see a video of you doing it !:poke:
I weigh 98 kg and i can only do it for 6 reps !
I say that was a good set considering !

:blow:Shut up ...If it toches your chest its a rep ! it touched his chest !

Is he your boyfriend or some ****. Chill the hell out. It barely touched his chest and if it doesn't touch it's not a rep. If you want to go into it further, his form isn't the best either. He thrusts his back with each rep that's not good form and that's not how you ****ing bench.

that was as proper a set as you will see in most gyms

LOL. There are rarely any people in a gym that can even do a proper set. Bench Press is a very popular exercise, yet nobody knows how to ****ing do it.

....lets see a video of you doing it !:poke:

Of course this is always what it comes down to right? This isn't even you in this video...stop parading around posting your butt buddies videos saying his technique is perfect when you aren't even the one pushing the weight.

You're an idiot.

There was more than one rep in there that touched ..
Why are you making your self like a fool ??? Why be picky/critical over what is a good effort and criticizing something you cant do your self ?? like i said lets see you do a perfect set with 140 kg then i will take your opinion seriously or else stop being that Olympic swimmer that never gets in the pool !

Are you an idiot? I said it was impressive, however his form needs some tweaking. Learn to read. A few reps touching and the rest not, that's not good technique and that's not proper bench press. What is so hard about that to understand. You don't have to bench more than another guy to know that his form is ****.

Check this out<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/er5GBIg2s8k&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/er5GBIg2s8k&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

This guy is benching more than I can, but does that mean that I can't critique his form (which is ****ing awful??) NO! His form sucks and I don't have bench and obscene amount of weight to know that he can't bench to begin with!

You can listen to my advice or not, it's your choice. But don't post videos in here and when you get comments you don't like act like a 5 year old calling people names and acting like a twat.

I can criticize it if I want to, and I'm not envious or jealous of it because in all honesty, he's not even doing it right. I'd much rather stick to using good form and weight I can handle, than using too much weight, sacrificing form and injuring myself.

I have nothing to prove to anybody over an internet message board.

So change your tampon and stop acting like a 5 year old.

Wow you really felt the need to revive the post huh. Look i wasn't going to say anything more - but read over this post, you act as if the guy in the video is you, when really it isn't; you posted a guy doing a bench press in a boxing forum and i cant even begin to comprehend how sad it is that your 'friend' would want to know that a random on the internet thought him bench pressing was impressive, i mean really.. are you both that insecure?
Also your amount of posts doesn't dictate how good your word is - all it shows is how much time you've spent on the website, you need help, moron.

I must admit, the guy in the video seems very strong for 79Kg, if that is what he really weighs (I'm not a doubter, but a step on the scales would prove the veracity of the video a little better).

He does seem to be very powerfully built for his weight but I wouldn't venture that his arm length is very long. From the top of the rep to his chest seems about nine or ten inches at most, whereas for me (a 74 Kg guy) a full rep travels much more than that as I have quite a long reach. Granted though, I couldn't handle 140Kg anything like your friend and dont know any guys around my size and weight who can.

His form is far from perfect, but most 79Kg guys wouldn't handle 140Kg without their arms shaking or giving way, so his strength is very impressive. Also sincere respect for your friend allowing himself to be filmed and posted on the net.............that takes guts! I challenged another guy about six months ago on this forum to prove his claimed bench press weight, but he wussed out!

All you doubters are just like Olympic swimmers who forgot their swimming trunks and cant get in the water because they would be too embarassed because it is cold and their dicks would shrink and even though they are olympic swimmers they havent even got in the pool! havent even taken a shower because they have never got wet let alone compete in the olympics and cant even swim, but still say they are olympic swimmers.
HaHa take that you doubters, come up with a better reply than this one if you can, ha ha I am so smart....

Im just making a small reply here, i dont know if anyone has sayed this, but the reason these guys bench this much is because they bench like powerlifters.

Arched back, wide grip and forcing your elbows to you body.
It has nothing to do with building muscle its a technique for juste benching more.

must admit i'm astounded he's only 79kg he must be really small, but very impressive all the same nothing wrong with the form to me,i'm about 87kg and the heaviest maximun 1 rep bench i can do is 120kg usually start off with 12 reps at 60kg then 8-9 at 100kg then 3-4 110kg then just the 1 at 120 then i work my way back down again very happy with my chest size and if i can eventually get to where your mate is at then great but it will be a few years yet but if not well as i say i'm happy not in it to have the biggest chest anyway just a hobby for me,but huge respect to your mate there.
