He has a lot of talent. But you are right he hasn't made an impact. And he hasn't had any commercial success besides his first album.

I think "top 5 doa" is a little generous. You're bumping a lot of people out of the way to fit Joe Budden in. I like him, and I thought Escape Route, Mood Musik 3 & Padded Room were all nice. But "top 5 doa" is too much. Maybe he could fit into "top 20" but there's a lot of nice people you're overlooking to shove him into "top 5".

I like Joey and dude def can rhyme, but man...Padded Room was shut a let down to me. Me & RL_GMA (another member on this forum) went to one of the listening sessions last year right before he was about to drop the album and it had about 6-7 songs that weren't on the official release that were ****in crazy! I have no clue why they weren't added (sample clearances maybe...)

I don't think Joe will ever make another single with the heights of "Pump It Up", but just like Jadakiss he may not have to.

Budden is real nice on the mic but potentially a top 5 D.O.A. I dunno bout that.

I think he's gonna fall along the lines of Jada where he just drops..."good" albums.

Buddens has those real talk lines that i love. i that song happy holidays off padded room he says something about his family coming over on thanksgiving and how its all fake and ****...lol. its definitley true

Buddens is one of my favorite rappers and i would like to say the same but unfortunatley i think his mixtapes are better then his albums. I will say this though, since Mood Muzik 2....aint nobody got **** on him

Halfway House = 4.5/5
Padded Room = 3.5/5
Escape Route = 4.5/5

I rated his mixtapes as if they were albums, if i rated them as mixtapes they would all be classics. If he keeps up at this pace, and puts his albums together a little more wisely...who knows, but hes gonna have to make more of an impact on commercial rap which will be a very difficult task.

At one point i thought of Buddens as one of the best punchline rappers i have ever heard but hes switched up his style more lately, he has been makin some really deep songs. Hes very versatile but i cant really see him making it into my top 10, or even 15. Anything can happen though, all he might need is another pump it up.

I think to even say "potentially" is a huge stretch.

I highly doubt he'll surpass
