i don't blame you but it's still news... if it is true, then barrera should retire... he only wants to extend his career by going against people he knows he can beat...

I read an article at a website where they had quotes from barrera about the morales-pacquiao fight. And he said nothing of that nature. They asked him about a rematch with Pacquiao and he said that at the moment he was just focusing about his upcoming fight with Fana. He also said that he would fight whomever the fans want to see him fight, morales or pacquiao. Do you really think any boxer would ever acknowledge being scared of someone, and do you really think Barrera is scared of Manny? .... NO!

Here is the article:
Barrera, who will defend the WBC title he won against Morales on April 9th in El Paso, went public in saying that no matter what gloves he wore, Pacquiao still would have lost the fight. "I knew that Morales was going to win the fight before it took place," said Barrera, who will face mandatory Mzonke Fana on HBO Pay Per View at the Don Haskins Center on the campus of the University of Texas, El Paso. "I think Pacquiao should accept defeat because Morales was the better man that night." With talk of an unprecedented fourth fight against Morales or a rematch against Pacquiao, Barrera was modest in saying the only thing on his mind is Fana. "I will fight whoever the public wishes for me to fight. However, my only focus is on Fana. He is a good boxer with lots of mobility and a decent left hand. After my fight on April 9th, we will see what options I have for any future fights."

the two articles are only consistent in quoting barrera saying "manny shoudl accept defeat because erik was the better man in their fight"... please, he hardly even accepted his defeat to manny when he lost...

The point is that the link you provided completely spinned what barrera said about a rematch with pacquiao.
