It's an even worse robbery, without having to listen to Joe Rogan talk the entire time. All I see the entire fight is Shogun wading in, exploding and landing with kick combos and Machida having an answer for maybe 1/3 of his strikes via a weak counter.

Machida had a heavy flurry going late in the third round, but that is really the only effective offense on his part. Everything Shogun landed, blocked or not was of higher quantity and effectiveness, he was laying into Machida.

For those of you thinking Shogun needed to be lying on top of him for 5 rounds and hitting him with GnP to take his belt, think about what Machida did to defend his belt rather than what Shogun did to take it away. Machida had nearly no offense in this entire fight and his world-class defense was brushed aside in this Muay Thai vs Karate match.

Shogun beat him up, plain and simple.

Like ive said before, i wouldnt of been shocked if he was given all 5 rounds. i would of been really pissed if i was him.

He was landing some straight shots down the pipe often times when Shogun would step in for those kicks; but they weren't as effective as the kicks. Thus Shogun winning everyone of those exchanges seeing as his kicks were more effective.

I agree. Actually that 3rd round flurry by Machida, Shogun actually landed the better, harder, cleaner shots during that exchange. He nailed Machida with a hard hook that made him clinch.
