He fought Hopkins again or another middleweight and won then moved up to Lt.Heavyweight?

I know it sounds pretty ridiculous, but so did his move to middleweight and his calling out of Hopkins.
But he looked pretty good against Hopkins.

Even if he lost at Lt.Heavyweight, would you still respect him for having the balls to move up there and take on one of the main guys there?

I respect him now, but I wonder if people's theory about his trainer not being a good one is the reason for his losses. Do you think under the leadership of someone else, he'll be a better fighter?

If he gets a REAL trainer and has time to settle into the weight class, I think he will do extremely well.

What's wrong with Floyd Mayweather Sr? And to go a little off subject, how come Mayweather Jr. didn't pick him as a trainer?

I can answer both questions easily.
He's not a real trainer.
He doesn't know a damn thing.

If you don't respect the hell out of Oscar already, you are just ignorant. Seldom will you see as fearless a fighter.

I was wondering if they would respect him if he did this.

Keep in mind that DLH has fired experienced guys because he ****ed up in certain fights or because he didn't like their faces.
DLH isn't really that bright when picking corner people.

Its not that I dont respect him...I just thought he punked out and could've gotten up...but choose to stay down.

Tha's just kinda disrespectful to other fighters like Gatti, Julio Gonzalez, Ward, Marquez etc. who all got knocked down and kept getting up to fight.

You can kinda say he did waht Acelino Freitas did except Freitas had the balls to get up and say "hey this guy has my # he's gonna keep kicking my ass..no mas"...De La Hollywood is a good actor tho, not once did he clutch his side where supposedly his liver is located in his back lol.

peace.

That was just such a dumb ****ing post. I mean really now. Like DLH is the first guy to every get stopped by a body punch. Who the hell are to say if he was hurt or not.

Really...who are you or anybody else to say that he wasn't hurt. DLH has fought only the best and should continue to fight the best. I'm pretty sure the kidneys are located lower back and liver kinda depends...its below your ribcage somewhere.

Put it this way...

They would respect him if he does that and actually win. They'd say he's crazy for even trying and they would just scream We told you so you idiot till the end of his career.

This I couldn't agree with more. Mayweather has no business training anyone. Sure, he took Floyd to the top, but as much as I dislike Floyd, he is one of the most naturally gifted fighters ever.
De La Hoya, while possessing great physical skills, doesn't really have skills on the level of Floyd. He's a different style of fighter. Always has been, and he's been at it too long to try to change his game.

That is the stupidest question I have ever heard. Oscar looked out of place as a middleweight, why would he move up to Lt.heavy?

I already respect De La Hoya. I don't need all that other ****.

I respect Oscar as much as the next guy, But talk of him going to light heavy is ****ing stupid. Name a quality fighter at middleweight he beat, legit. Oscar at 135 was amazing. Oscar at 170lbs is some retards pipe dream.

Everyone said his move to middleweight was stupid and so was his calling out of Hopkins and fighting Hopkins.
Yet he did it and even had the media and others on his side during it.
So why rule out a stint in the Lt.Heavyweight division?
The guy is obviously trying to do whatever he can to gain respect or whatever the **** he's after.

I love how people hate on DLH. If he didnt look the way he did, everyone would call him a warrior, im not a very big fan of his, but that is what he is. He goes for the top guys time after time. In my opinion he has only lost twice. To Mosely the first time (he beat Mosely in the rematch i dont care what anyone says, ive seen it a dozen times) and obviously to Hopkins. I still cant believe the Trinidad fight. He won at least 9 rounds of that fight. Sorry for the rant, bottom line: you HAVE to respect Oscar, whether you like him or not.
