Just like to know what you guys think of the quality of the UFC shows and the fighters taking part in them.
I personally think its gone down, lots of fighters from years back making returns like Tito,Coleman,Baroni,Trigg ect. These fighters are surely not good enough at this stage in their careers for the premier show in MMA.
Ive noticed a few uk guys getting a go aswell, some of these guys wouldnt have even been considered in years gone by.
I would rather see less events that are stacked (UFC100) rather than lots of shows that have weak main events. Ones that come to mind are Jackson vs. Jardine,Sanchez vs. Stevenson and Couture vs. Vera.
The UFC fight night has the feel of a small show that is fighting under the UFC banner. (I must admit there is usually some good wars on that show to be fair)
Any thoughts, has the standards gone down

The reason for Trigg and Baroni imo is because they want to take everyone they can away from SF. Once they lose in the UFC, they're gonna be useless to SF. And Tito is always gonna pull big numbers and I'm interested to see what he can do again. He only ever lost to the top guys. And he would have beaten Rashad if not for the point deduction. He got beaten easily against Machida but not nearly as bad as other guys have(except Shogun obv.)
And obviously a few years ago UK guys wouldn't get a shot because MMA was just starting to grow there. But in the past few years the UK talent has gotten better and better and I don't see any reason they shouldn't get a shot at the big shows??
Overall I think it's quite obvious the standards have gone up. They need to fill cards and they use lower level talent to fill them. It's how you develop fighters and it's great. But the top guys and main events are better than ever. UFC 100 might have been a big card full of big names but it was a piece of crap show, ill take Fight Night 19 over UFC 100 any day

Some fair points.
I still dont think the guys from the UK have the potential to be contenders in their weight classes, with the exception of Hardy, Bisping and Daley.
I understand what your saying about the fight night shows compared to the big shows but thats the difference between seeing whats good on the eye and whats the best the sport has to offer.
Personally i think there should be a title up for grabs in every UFC headline event.
