160 is a lil too much for him. not necisarily in power but they're naturally alot bigger than Vargas. i think he looked funny cuz he was a lil thick and he didn't fight how he used to fight. now he fights a lil more defensive and a lil more smart. he will still always have that mexican warrior in him if he needs to unleash it on anyone though

I thought Vargas looked and sounded punch-drunk, he sounded like Riddick Bowe following his 2nd Golota fight, as if he'd gotten stupid in a matter of minutes (not that he was smart 2 begin with, but u know what I'm sayin')

vargas always looks funny. At any weight. Its because he has a unique style. I think he is still a very young fighter and should take his time getting the rust off, if he does he would could be a champion someday at middleweight.

I think he boxed well he dident even look tired he was really patient and never pushed the fight it was obvious he had no intentions on winning by knock out.

He did look slow, like kind of out of it. I don't think he'll stay at 160, once he gets back into the ring as much as he used to.

I agree with runw/knives that vargas vs joppy would be a good fight to see, even though now it seems that joppy is being used as a stepping stone (Trinidad,Taylor,hopkins destruction and maybe vargas in the near future) if I understood correctly I think he will be going after Castillejo @ 154 for the WBC belt, but I rather see him vs maybe Joppy,Taylor and hell why not hopkins and strum

Vargsa was not training at all when he was off though no excersise nothing he sat and got fat due to injurys so its not it is a long tim e to not do ****.
