Can someone please tell me what this whole thing is about please?

Terri had an accident 15 years ago to where she is unable to speak, walk, feed herself, etc. she has spent 15 years in a hospital bed, doing little other than grunting and moving her eyes.

Her husband wanted to remove her feeding tube to allow her to die, saying it was what she wanted. Her parents disagreed.
