i'm just a casual mma fan, i think i've seen most of GSP's fights and it seems like all the fighters he fought are smaller than him.

GSP isn't as big as he looks. I've met him IRL and with street clothes on he doesn't even look like he works out. He only weights about 184-187 on fight night.

So yes he has on more than one occasion.

both fitch and alves are big enough to fight at 185... it just so happens that those were two of the more dominant wins in his career in ufc.... the bigger they are, the harder they fall....

The TS, obviously just hates GSP for whatever reason because Hughes and Alves probably walk around weighing much more than him and Fitch is about the same size......BJ is a LW who moved up so yeah.....he fought 1 smaller guy I can think of.

I have to say if you see gsp in cloths outside the octagon he looks just like a normal sized bloke with normal sized muscles. He is immensly strong for his size and weight though and that what makes him seem bigger.

The most GSP has ever weighed on a fight night was when he fought BJ Penn in their second fight and he was 187.

And like I said people think GSP is huge but he's not really that big IRL, but that's probably because his BF% is so low. GSP has a wide frame but he doesn't outweight his opponents by very much, and is often outweighed even if by a few pounds.

GSP fights at about 186. Alves drops down to 170 and puts weight on all the way about to about 198-199. Yes, he did have about a 13 pound weight advantage.

(and by cutting I mean cutting water weight, his walking weight IS 200+ pounds, at one point a guy from ATT told he was around 230 during training, but when he cuts, he cuts from around 190, so his weight in the fight is very similar to GSP's if not exactly the same)

Cutting weight doesn't mean cutting from walking around weight...Alves probably cuts from about 190-195, it's like how everyone says Diego Sanchez cuts to 155 from 195 pounds...C'MON!! Anyone who knows anything about weight cutting knows Diego did not cut 40 pounds...

He looked significantly smaller at the weigh ins for UFC 100 than in his previous fights. Probably because he didn't want to miss the weight and lose the opportunity to fight for the belt
