View Full Version : R.A. The Rugged.
CrackYourJaw 11-01-2009, 01:00 AM With all the talk in NSB about dude, I thought I'd make a thread about him.
Any opinions on Rugged?
I like him well enough, he's not my favorite. He's like a white ODB (RIP) who flows nicer and has better lyrics.
Anyone heard his "Nights of the Bloody Apes?"
It was never released for some reason.
Downloading it now.
CrackYourJaw 11-01-2009, 01:16 AM Just listened to (some of) his unreleased album. What I heard wasn't that good. He's gotten much better.
The Weebler II 11-01-2009, 01:37 AM Hadn't heard of him until this point but will check out his music now. He's an older MC right, looks about 40. Had to laugh at him telling Mayweather he wasn't afraid of him, that was G.
CrackYourJaw 11-01-2009, 09:51 AM Yeah, he's been around for a while.
He never really got any shine mostly because I think he was just an *******. He was signed to Jive and some other labels but ****ed it up somehow.
Anyways, you should listen to his verse on Uncommon Valor, people say it's one of his best.
His song "Supa" is nice, too.

thatguy 11-01-2009, 12:01 PM damn, I feel like a dumbass starting a thread in the lounge and then i see there is a hip hop forum here. This is one of my favorite tracks off of "Die, Rugged Man, Die" which is a really good album imo.
Chains Ft. Killah Priest & Masta Killah(Wu-Tang)

Thats honestly one of the best verses i've heard for a very very long time. I think everybody who posts in the hip hop forum should listen to it. I'd love the Lil Wayne dick riders to hear it. I've never heard Wayne spit a verse like that
CrackYourJaw 11-01-2009, 06:50 PM Like Fix said, the craziest part is that it's a true story.

to be fair, there is maybe a handful of rappers to ever spit a verse on that level... and your right wayne is not one of them.
