View Full Version : Tyson Fighting in DC? fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 02:53 PM i read on one of the boxing sites that Iron Mike may be fighting here in DC at the MCI Center this summer. anybody hear anything about this? is it finalized? m00ks 03-28-2005, 02:56 PM Man, I heard Tyson was being trained by Duran, Fenech, Roach. That he was changing careers to Muy Thai instead of boxing, that he was gonna commentate instead. I don't know wassap anymore. fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 02:59 PM Man, I heard Tyson was being trained by Duran, Fenech, Roach. That he was changing careers to Muy Thai instead of boxing, that he was gonna commentate instead. I don't know wassap anymore. m00ks - i hear you. it seems that everyday the news is different. i read a while ago that Tyson was with McGirt also. BoxingPromoter 03-28-2005, 03:03 PM I heard that Tyson would be in DC to fight Kevin McBride. And I think he's training with Buddy McGirt. I wish Tyson would get his act together and make a comeback already. Doesn't he still owe millions of dollars which interest is accrueing on daily? fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 03:10 PM Yeah, he still owes a grip so, guess that makes him the official fighter for the federal government. there will be a fed in a red, white and blue top hat at ringside waiting for Tyson's payday immediately after the fight. if it does take place in DC, i'll have to check it out. maybe give away a pair of tickets as a monthly contest prize on fightcardproductions.com Eman 03-28-2005, 03:12 PM Is there a set date or even month, or is it just set for "summer" fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 03:13 PM Is there a set date or even month, or is it just set for "summer" i vaguely recall June 11th as the date, but i could be wrong. He knows boxing, he LOVES the sport (I mean, name one big fight or PPV where you dont see Tyson) and the fans (for the most part) still cant get enough of him! It fits like a glove, so get it done already! the giant one 03-28-2005, 07:09 PM Yeah, he still owes a grip so, guess that makes him the official fighter for the federal government. there will be a fed in a red, white and blue top hat at ringside waiting for Tyson's payday immediately after the fight. if it does take place in DC, i'll have to check it out. maybe give away a pair of tickets as a monthly contest prize on fightcardproductions.com ill be there most definetly. u gonna go to the bowe fight at the armory? I heard that is scheduled for the 25h. And the date i heard for Tyson was june 20th manila_assasin 03-28-2005, 07:14 PM I hope this is true. Iron Mike still has a lot left in him. SO if this is true good luck to him. Red_Menace 03-28-2005, 07:17 PM I don't think he was training with McGirt ... he was just training at his gym. It's sad that the guy finally tries to reform himself, and be a good person to his kids etc, and can't find success as a boxer when he deserves it most. b-hop21183 03-28-2005, 07:37 PM The people at HBO or Showtime should just give the man a ringside job so he can retire and make some buck. It would probably only take 3 or 4 rounds of commentating before he knocked Merchant on his ass fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 07:43 PM Hey fightcard, can you answer my thread on 'boxing promotions' what's happening BostonGuy? unfortunately, i'm not equipped to answer your questions regarding boxing promotions. Fight Card Productions is a boxing media services venture. i produce boxing DVDs, and provide media services to boxing video collectors such as vhs-to-dvd conversions, etc. there is an up-and-coming promotion outfit here in the DC Area that you might want to contact. go to www.ragingpromotions.com (http://www.ragingpromotions.com) to get their contact info. SacTown1 03-28-2005, 07:44 PM rofl I would like to see tyson on HBO. It would probably only take 3 or 4 rounds of commentating before he knocked Merchant on his ass Tyson vs. Merchant would break all box office records, and they wouldn't even have to pay either of 'em, Tyson would fight for a fat J, and Larry would fight for a bottle of scotch, what a showdown! fightcardproductions 03-28-2005, 07:47 PM ill be there most definetly. u gonna go to the bowe fight at the armory? I heard that is scheduled for the 25h. And the date i heard for Tyson was june 20th What's going on Giant One? i might have to check that Bowe fight out. that's the 25th of what month? Kimmy 03-28-2005, 08:34 PM April Bowe will be figting but i don`t see the point of it anyways. Bowe, if he has anything left, will probably blow it by getting complacent. As for Tyson? LOL, the guy is a joke. His greatest accomplishment is ****ting whatever talent he had down the toliet. The entertainment value in Tyson is waiting for him to do something stupid. He is not a serious contender anymore and if any of his deluded fans believe that picking Kevin McBride as an opponent adds a remote drop of credibility to his career, they should pass the crack pipe. His management Tyson could blow any minute and take people with him. Their matching him carefully and milking the cow for all its got left. Not a bad idea, Tyson deserves his failures. Tyson has had about 17 second chnces in his life and has systematically blown everyone, each time with a new way of ****ing it up. I will be routing for McBride if that fight comes off ( never know with Tyson ) and hoping this sorry story ends soon so we can get on with cheering for boxing, not the insane clown Tyson! PRboxingfan 03-28-2005, 08:48 PM Boxrec shows him fighting here in DC on June 20th. If it is, I'll be there with bells on! neils7147933 03-29-2005, 12:51 AM Is there a set date or even month, or is it just set for "summer" I've seen 6/20 with no "official" opponent. Even rumors that Bowe will be on the undercard. I'm sure something will be official soon |
