As someone who never heard George give a commentary for Showtime, are there any favourites out there for the stupidest thing he ever said? Just what is all the fuss about?

I do not remember George ever saying anything stupid.

George is a great commentator that likes to praise good fighter for what they do in the ring.

I remember when Bernard Hop was beating up Felix Trinidad and Merchant and Lampey were saying how one sided a beating it was. Foreman turns round and say`s 'If Tito turns on the power its all over' LOL, Tito got his ****ing ugly bastard ass kicked LOL Usa all the way!

One time, Big George was commentating a lightweight or featherweight fight and a guy got KTFO'd to the body. Big George laughed for almost a minute and said, " He was weak in the body."

george was great, he would allways let you know what the boxer was thinking, since he had been in the ring so many times, i could only agree with him.

...He may have said some dumb things but he also made great observations that only a boxer could make. I always crack up when seeing big George's grin. My wife thinks he is the happiest guy alive. Those HBO guys sure loved George when that **** broke out during the Bowe/Golota fight and George was protecting ****** ass merchant. I can still hear George saying to one of those idiots that entered the ring, "don't do it son"!!! George was sizing guys up like he could kill em if he wanted to. Big George is alright in my book.

My fav Big George quote is what he always says about counterpunchers...
" He's a counterpuncher, he's gotta wait for the other guy to throw a punch so he can duck and then throw a punch,"
