View Full Version : LaMotta/Hearns...... Its on NOW!!!!!!!
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 10:13 PM Thomas Hearns and Jake Lamotta both stepped into the ring looking fit and ready for the war that inevitably in both of their immediate futures. As Frank Garcia brought the two combatants to the center of the ring, two things were eveident. LaMotta wanted this fight bad and Tommy wants it all the same. Garcia gave the final instructions and sent them to their corners. As they parted, Lamotta spoke to Hearns. "Aint got nothin' to hit me with...." Hearns gave him that confident smile,a wink and blew Lamotta a kiss. This seemed to enreage "The Bull".
The first round began as LaMotta storms acrossed the ring. Hearns shoots a jab which Lamotta slips and lands a solid left hook to Herarns' temple that lkeft the hit man wobbling. Taking a step back, Hearns doubled up on his hook, both landing as lamotta rushes in. They would fall into a clinch where garcia would break them up. Again Lamotta rushes hearns, landing a glancing right hand. As Lamotta fell in, Hearns steps back and unwinds a vicious uppercut that wobbles the Raging Bull. Lamotta would quickly grab Hearns, tying him up for time to clear his head. They would move again to ring center where Lamotta would come in with a lead hook. Again stepping back hearns would use his reach in unvieling a beautifull 4 punch combination that again left Lamotta in obvious trouble. Lamotta would retreat to the ropes, covering up the best he can. Hearns shoots forward with his piston like jab, glancing the brow of Lamotta. HES CUT!!! HES CUT!!! Lamottas eyes is seriously cut above the brow, his right brow. Lamotta pushes forward again as the bell sounds to end the round.

lol, Jake's already distracted with rage. Hearns is playing his emotions like a fiddle. He's gonna school the bull's ass for 12 round :D
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 10:31 PM The doctor vists Lamottas corner as Joe Lamotta pushes the doctor away, "He's fine DAMN IT, Hes fine." The doctor makes his way to Lamotta brow and wipes the gauze over the wound. The doctor nods his head and notifies the referee to let it continue.
ROUND 2
Lamotta does not come storming from his corner this round as Hearns circles the ring. Hearns jumps in with a slapping hook as he spins away from Lamotta returnhook. Hearns, working off of the jab digs a nice hook into Lamottas kidney. Lamotta, unfazed fires of a quick combination and follows up with a good right hand, although little damage was done with the barrage of puches. Lamotta, again stalking Hearns, walks directly into an uppercut. Tommy tries to spin out but is caught by a wild hook from Lamotta . Tommy, digging his feet into the canvas, unleashes a viscious 3 punch combination and slides away after finishing it off with a solid cross. Lamotta, still again the aggresor, presses Hearns to the ropes where he lands a solid cross and quickly turns the uppercut into Hearns' face. Hearns would initiate a clinch as a heavy flow of blood comes from a cut on the bridge of his nose. Garcia would step in to break them as Hearns begins to walk the perimeter of the ring. Lamotta again takes pursuit as Hearns catches him coming in with 3 straight shots to the head. As Lamotta continues forward, he loses traction on the canvas as Hearns pounds him with a sweet hook. Lamotta stumbles, as his right glove touches the canvas and Garcia begins the mandatory 8 count. 1...2....3 "I ****IN SLIPPED DAMNIT...ITS A SLIP.... Garcia would reach the 8 count and command them to box. DDDIIINNNGGG!!!!! The bell ends round 2

BrooklynBomber 03-27-2005, 10:39 PM Go LaMotta!!!!
Kid Achilles 03-27-2005, 10:42 PM Don't worry, you have to expect LaMotta to lose the first few rounds against a rangy guy like Hearns. The body punches are gonna get to him soon though. That scrawny frame can only take so much abuse.
.::|ULTIMATE|::. 03-27-2005, 10:42 PM God dammit, jakes getting whoopped.
BrooklynBomber 03-27-2005, 10:44 PM Damnit I am too late to make a bet.
Go LaMotta. Whup that Detroit Limey :D
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 10:51 PM There is calm in Hearns' corner as Emmanuel attends to the cut acrossed Hearns nose. On the other side of the ring, it is absolute chaos in Lamottas corner. Joey Lamotta is throwing the water from the soponge acrossed jakes face commanding him to get physical. "YOU GOTTA RUF DIS GUY UP DAMN IT!! WHEN YOUZ INSIDE< DONT JUS STAND DERE, HIT DA LOUSY BUM!!!!" Both corners have attended to the fighters cuts in a good way as the bell sounds to start round three.
ROUND 3
Hearns begins the round on his bicycle, sticking a nice jab into the face of lamotta. Lamotta would counter, jumping forward with a hook that hearns would lean away from while missing with a hook of his own. Again Lamotta bores in to the trenches where Hearns ties him up. Lamotta would pull one hand free and would then begin striking Hearns in the back of the head. From ringside you could hear lamotta taunting Hearns, "Fight me you skinny...." Steward would almost jump upon the apron as lamotta continued striking Hearns in the back of the head. Garcia quickly jumps between the 2 men and warns Lamotta for rabbit punching. Lamotta would step back in amazemant, his gloves pleading with Garcia, "I DIDNT SEE NO FUKIN' RABBIT!!!"
The 2 would quickly be upon eachother again as Hearns again, with blimding speed rips off another 3 punch combo. Lamotta, with his head bobbing back and forth would walk through it landing a solid left hook to Hearns jaw. Hearns would wobble, throwing a wild hook that Lamotta gets under as Lamotta this time instigates a clinche. Hearns, still shaken, throws another wild hook that Lamotta gets under. Lamotta, shooting from his crouch catches hearns with a mean uppercut. Amazingly, Hearns dances away from Lamotta scoring with a quick right hand and finishing off with a jab as he steps away. Lamotta again in pursuit comes up short with a left hook as Hearns again sticks the jab and takes the side. As the 10 second marker sounds, Hearns snaps 2 beautifull jabs into lamotta face and sends his right hand sizzling towards lamatta. Lamotta, slips to the side, hooking Hearns to the body. DDDIIINNGGG!!!!

m00ks 03-27-2005, 11:04 PM I wanna know what Steward is saying
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 11:06 PM In between rounds both fighters loked swollen in the face. Hearns however seemed to look very fatigued and worn. Steward attended to him, kicking his legs straight out and instructing Hearns to take deep breathes. Lamotta, looking past his corner men, I believe noticed hearns apparent weariness.
Round 4.
Lamotta charges yet again from his corner to meet hearns with a hook at ring center. Hearns would catch that hook with his open glove and counter sharply to lamottas face, following with a straight right that sails over Lamottas crouching head. Lamotta, steps out popping his jab into hearns' face as he pushes Hearns into the Lamotta corner. Lamotta jumps in doubling on the hooks as Hearns has to hold on to stop the barrage . garcia breaks them as hearns moves ring center. A lead right by hearns misses as lamotta twists hearns skull with a powerfull hook. Lamotta would double on the hook but fall short as hearns backs away sticking his jab into lamottas face. Dropping the right hand, hearns misses and is again tagged by Lamottas hook which is then followed by a crisp right hand to the side of Hearns head. DDDIIINNNGGG

PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 11:17 PM Round 5
Hearns thios time rushes to meet Lamotta ring center as they exchange jabs. lamotta catches hearns with the jab but eats a mean uppercut in return. Lamotta clinches as Tommy winks to his corner. As garcia breaks them, hearns jumps in immediately with another uppercut and begins to dance about the ring. Lamotta tries to trap hearns in a corner but misses with a lead right as hearns counters with two quick rights. Hearns moves ring center where he drops a quick 1-2 on to lamottas jaw. Still coming forward lamotta swings and misses and is tagged hard by another quick combo from Hearns. You noticably see garcia looking into the eyes of Lamotta at this point. Hearns begins to circle the ring wide, taking long strides and taking deep breathes. Lamotta shoots forweard again, his intentions not clear as Hearns spins lamotta and throws him into the corner pad, meeting him with another 3 punch combo. Lamotta raises his elbows and pushes hearns to ring center where Hearns drops a right onto Lamottas temple. DDDDIIIINNNGGG!!!!!!
Rumble Box #'s- Punches landed...Hearns 18... Lamotta 5
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 11:34 PM Between rounds both men were showing signs of fatigue. Both mens cuts have been handled greatly by their respective corners.
Round 6
Hearns rushes out to greet lamatta with a sharp one two and dances neatly away. lamotta pursuing with a crouching style jolts from the crouch landing a nice right hand as hearns grabs hold. Garcia breaks the two and they war on. They again fall into tight quarters as lamotta hooks the body hard and hearns returns the firte just the same. lamotta cringes from the right hook to the ribs as he grabs a hold of hearns momentarily and then pushes him away against the ropes. hearns falling back throws a wide hook that misses as lamotta scores heavily to hearns head. hearns throws hard and lands as lamotta falls into a clinch. The two circle the ring after being pryed apart, it seems that lamatta may be getting weary of the hitmans power. Hearns comes in hard again as lamatta gets underneath the bombs scoring two hooks to the head of hearns, and then as hearns spun away, lamotta backhands him in the face. Frank garcia is quick to warn lamotta for dirty tactics and tells him that hge will take points if he continues the flagrant disregard for the rules. Lamotta swings hard with an over hand right as hearns again steps back and touches lamotta face with a jab. DDDIIINNNGGG!!!!!
RumbleBox #'s Punches landed- ......Lamotta...20....Hearns...18
PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 11:44 PM It appears that Lamotta is becoming more fatigued than hearns at this point. Coming into round 7 I woulod have to say, unofficialy, that hearns is way ahead on the cards. There have been a few close rounds so it may be closer than I suspect.
Round 7
They meet ring center, diging the body and jockeying for position. Lamotta diga an uppercut into hearns but hearns is quick to retaliate and lamotta slow to get out as Tommy fires 4 straight shots down the poipe on lamotta. Lamotta, amazingly still unfazed jumps on hearns, landing a right hand and making hearns miss while landing a glancing uppercut. Hearns would back away, again using the ring. His right hand was not even seen by lamotta as it smashes into his face. Hearns quickly doubles it up and finishes with a hook as he again dances to saftey. Lamotta seems just to be following hearns unaware of what waits in the very near future... Hearns jams a quick 1-2, snapping the bulls head backwards and touches lamotta with a jab. Lamotta jumps forward touching hearbs with a jab at the bell.

PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 11:55 PM Round 8
Hearns and lamotta both are worn after a great 7 rounds. With 3 to go Hearns gets off first but lamotta swings under both shots, landing a hook to the body and a solid hook to the head. Hearns grabs hols as lamotta tries to free himself. Garcia breaks the 2 and commands to box. Both men swing wildly as the fall into each other, again digging and looking for openings on the inside. Eventually the are wrapped up and ordered to break. Lamotta immediately steps in and digs his left into hearns body, the follow up hook falls short as does hearns right hook. Falling into the ropes, hearns is tagged by a great uppercut that obviously stuns hearns. lamotta swarms... the hooks the rights, jake is head hunting and getting his choice of shots to throw. The right hand lands flush as garcia steps forward looking closly at hearns. hearns fires back but his punches cannot find lamotta as lamotta returns the gesture, except his blow ring home hard.DDDIIINNNGGG!!!!!
Rumble Box #'s- Punches landed- .....Lamotta 29......Hearns 6
PessimisticPug 03-28-2005, 12:10 AM The cuts have not factored into the match but thomas hearns reach and straight punches have. he has been catching lamotta coming in, however when lamotta is able to get in he has been working well to the hit mans body and possibly slowing him down.
Round 9
Both fighters slowly raise from their stools as it is aparant that both boxers are running on fumes and pure desire. Aknockdown at this time would seem a certainty. They fall into a slow clinche as they seperate themselves with hearns throwing a hrad right that is slipped by lamotta. Lamotta touches hearns with an upopercut and again slips the return blow, The solid hook that lamotta lans sends tommy realing to the ropes where lamotta gets low, slipping again the right and sigging into hearns body. They would fall into a clinch and meet ring center where lamotta would jab and hook off of the jab, landing both and another hook to follow. Hearns wopuld retaliate with 2 quick combinations and finish with a solid uppercut that leaves lamotta standing some where lost in time. Lamotta backs into a corner, landing a hook as hearns follows him in. The right lands as a hook follows and hearns has lamotta where he wants him. lamotta swings a desperation uppercut as the bell rings to end the round.

PessimisticPug 03-28-2005, 12:22 AM The fighters are treated in their corners and it is obvious that it has been a struggle to survive, a struggle to succeed and a struggle to be the victor.
Round 10
Both fighters slowly raise from their stools and touch gloves. lamotta right brow, swollen, discolored and cut. hearns bridge of his nose shining red below the lights as they start the final round. Hearns moves slowly and jumps in with a quick hook landing flush on lamotta as lamoota returns the favor, snapping tommys head to the side. hearns would dance away sticking two jabs in to lamottas face as lamotta presses forward. Trapping heasrns in a corner lkamotta lands a flush uppercut but hearns is able to slide away and move from the danger. lamotta, shaking his head again stalks hearns. hearns slows as lamotta comes in hard. the inital shot misses but the uppercut that followed did not. hearns would stagger, swinging again wide with his left as lamotta digs a nice hook to the body and doubles it up to the head. As the mat is pounded for the 10 sec warning hearns jumpos in with a crisp right hand and the bell sounds.
