I wanted Hopkins for Golden Boy Promotions because he knows his **** and he has promise me that he will face off vs winky, Trinidad of course beating them and then facing me one last time before he calls it quits and guess what?
Shhh he will throw the fight, victory is mine :D

Ahhh..so your playing DLH. Ok, I get it. in that case,

Wahts up with going down by the ***** ass body shot from Hopkins??!! I bet on you in that fight and had you winning by a point in the 9th. What gives Oscar?

He hit me pretty hard on my liver, I was afraid that it would screw up my vocal cords and that I could not continue my successful singing career. I bet on me too and so did my good friend bigdlb12, but like I said before, I threw away this fight and I will win the other one that Bernard and me have plan for 05 towards the end of the year.

I couldn't belive how easy it was.

How was my acting?

Oscar needs to find his own style.... Did any of you guys see the post-fight interview w/ Barrera from his 3rd fight with Morales, if so then you guys saw De La Hoya w/ his fighter representin' in the ring while being interviewed by Merchant, I swear Oscar just needs to f**kin' relax and not try so hard in acting like f**kin' Don King by trying too hard to put on a " gregarious" personality, he just ends up looking like a retard, I know he's just trying to do his job as a promoter but please save the drama. I mean let me ask y'all this if Oscar didn't have the good looks to go along with his great athletic ability, would he carry the same cross-over appeal that he's thriving of. Strip away Oscar's looks, what else does he have besides being a great boxer.

i think its pretty obvious
oscars aim was to empower all boxers
but he was simply concentating on empoweren mexican boxers

i think he recognized that he wasnt able or willing to reach other fighters

so hopkins is goin to do what oscar has been doing for latin fighters for black urban fighters

I've made fun of the lil' lovefest between Hop & Hoya.. BUT, it could be great for the sport....should these two not forget what it's like to be a fighter (many millions being at stake COULD change that).

I'd love to see them stick it to a pile of feces like Arum.

I sense that Arum is fearful of Oscar's potential as a promoter.

These guys who also are up and down Oscar's nuts about him being such a great businessman 'cause he's moving back down to 147lbs. is that what you the fans really wanna see a great business man fight, or a guy that's willing to stick his neck out there and go through the fire, and again it sure didn't look like a "liver shot" to me. Ask yourselves this would you rather drop 60 bucks on a lopsided DeLaHoya victory against Cintron so you can just see his handsome face and "business savvy" or find out if he has actually gotten any better since fighting an overage Whitaker by going against Wright. Me, I'd much rather replay all the Gatti - Ward, Morales - Barrera, Ali - Frazier....Bad motherf**kers that let it all hang and not run around the last three rounds of a fight.

So you are telling me that Tyson is handsome? Tyson did the same, his face was everywhere in the 80's and early 90's,Nintendo Games,Boxing products,T.V. and even made movies about him.

So DLH is moving back down to 147 lbs?

But you rather see Gatti vs Ward and Morales vs Barrera?
I will be honest, they are great fights, the best of our time, but saying that Oscar is a punk for moving back down is just crazy, he now knows he didnt belong up there @ 160 lbs, take for example the guy/boxer you mention Gatti, tell me , at what weight did he fight DLH and what did he do afterwards? What do you think DLH wants to do if he does move back down to 147? Beat Spinks,Zab,Maybe even fight with Cintron and Cotto in the future or even Mayweather if that could ever happen, hell Quartey is coming back early 05 so you never know.

Obviously, your Avatar says it all. So before you get hot and heated and make you feel even dumber.....Slowly and carefully move your lips away from Oscar's crotch.... As far as you making the comparison between DLH's and Tyson's popularity. You've obviously misconstrued my point. I've never stated on any of my posts that the only way to be marketable in boxing was to be good looking! But in Oscar's case that is his MAIN ASSET as far as the general public is concerned(All the casual fans are aware of is what they see and what they hear on Sportscenter). Tyson had a certain panache in his personality and the fact that he had a certain fighting style that had tremendous appeal to boxing and non - boxing fans, to top that he had amazing athletic ability that captivated the general public and not even Hoya could've matched. As far as you listing De La Hoya's fight record, what does it have to do w/ fighting a solid S-O-U-T-H-P-A-W in Winky Wright? Again, Camacho Sr. doesn't count!
