Super featherweight to Welter, whichever I want. Right now lightweight. I spar alot of guys at the gym 2years+ exp and havent lost yet, only loose to HW or guys 6ft+(im only 5'6) so Im pretty confident. Gattz187 03-27-2005, 06:25 PM i plan on joining next month become the next Middle Wieght legend in the amueters :D Mr.Talent 03-27-2005, 06:43 PM I'm 16, box ama., gonna start having fights this summer, so far I've just been trying 2 get my skills up. Only started boxing 4months ago, but had set downs with injuries. manila_assasin 03-27-2005, 07:18 PM I box. when do you loose the braces? PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 07:20 PM I dont have my usa/abf handbook with me but it seems that you are allowed to box with braces on. Certain things need to be taken care of though before hand. I am not sure but it seems that you will need a special mouthpiece. I am certain that you will need a signed parental waiver should anything happen to your braces during the match. I am not certain, being that I am visiting mom and my rule book is at home. Check into it with your coach to be sure.......Rockin' PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 07:26 PM Well I been training for 8 months, will be qualified this september. I dont think I can loose in my weight class, if I do I'm gonna be so pissed :) The sooner that you lose this "I cant lose" attitude the better off you will be. Remember that there is always somebody out there that can beat you. Especially being that you have only trained for 8 months. I had the same attitude going into a fight, I believe it was like my 4th or 5th amatuer fight, I put on the worst showing ever, thinking that I could just walk through this guy and that I couldnt be beaten. Not trying to pick on you here, just hoping to make you better prepared mentally for what you will run into in this sport.......Rockin' spinksjinx 03-27-2005, 07:52 PM I box, I am from West Virginia and just fought in a tournament yesterday. So far I have had 4 fights and I am still learning. .::EnRiQuE::. 03-27-2005, 07:56 PM i been boxing for a lil while. i got 12 amateur fights. my record should be 5-7 but got robbed last fight but thats a diffrnt story. i have a Junior Olympics tournament coming up on April 24th and 25th. u can box wif braces you just need a note from ur orthadontist(doctor for ppl who have braces...i can't spell to save my life) PessimisticPug 03-27-2005, 08:29 PM hey 2ndko, 5-7 is not bad. I started the same way, i was like 4-4 at one point when fighting in the juniors. This is all a learning experience and I hope that you are enjoying what your doing. The thing that people dont understand about amatuer records is that we never got to choose who we fought, if they were there then we fought them. So undefeated records are almost non existant in the amatuers. I know that you know this, I just wanted these people in the forum to understand it. After starting out 4-4 I won like 16 or 17 of my next 20. It was a great run and I know that you can do the same. Hard work is what it takes, as you know. Keep it kickin' killer, I'll be rootin' for ya from michigan. Best of luck man.....Rockin' .::EnRiQuE::. 03-27-2005, 08:33 PM hey 2ndko, 5-7 is not bad. Fighting happens to be my favourite. Im not trying to be ****y and I think I am mentally prepared. I will never underestimate an opponent but at the same time I dont think about losing, in anything I'm proud at. If I do loose I'll cross that bridge when I get there :) Your probably right but everyone has their own way of dealing with things, mine is pure desire to win. spinksjinx 03-27-2005, 09:08 PM I love sports and my goal is always to win, anything else doesnt quite cut it.
