Any examples of this? The one question of a big puncher when they usually step up a weight division is can they retain the same power they held at the previous class of which he demonstrated. To me,Trinidad's power looked even more impressive at 154,than it did at 147 but off the top of my head,I can't think of any others.

Another question, how does Archie Moore's power at heavyweight compare to his power as a light heavyweight and a middleweight?

Pacquaio is the best example of this.. The stoppage of DLH coupled with the KO of Hatton proves it..
DLH himself should also be considered when you take into account, that he started at Super featherweight..
Holyfield may also be on the outskirts of this debate to.. However it won't be too long b4someone mentions steroids lol...

Really? I've never heard of anyone claim that Holyfield was a big puncher to begin with, let alone having increased power at heavyweight.I believe he took alot of criticism in regards to his power when he failed to knockout both Larry Holmes and George foreman.

Pacquiao is a good call but I don't think Oscar had the same power at 154 and 147 that he had as a lightweight and below.

All but 1 of their opponents failed to KO them to..
Evander definately gained a liberal increase in power at heavy.. For example, had Quawi also moved up, I'd expect Holyfield to KO him..

Ageed on Oscar's later rises, but he almost doubled in power from SFW to WW..

But nowhere near the magnitude of KO's he achieved at 147..

Old Archie Moore had good power at any weight.

At heavyweight:

LHW:

You can see that he was a bit quicker when he was younger at middleweight:

I can't think of anyone that increased their power moving up in weight. Many carried their power up, many didn't. Never really understood that, actually. Donald Curry's power disappeared from 147 to 154, for example.

I think that Alexis Arguello's power got better as he went up, he had more one punch KO's at lightweight and junior welterweight as opposed to his days in the lighter weight divisions. In contrast his skills eroded slightly with each move up in weight.

Disagree with Jones.. He was only able to frustrate Ruiz without hurting him.. He was also KO'd twice at LHW, although an argument can be raised, he was on his way back down..
In truth though, I'd say Jones only carried his power as far as SMW.

Archie Moore is a better example, because he was able to KD Marciano, and hurt him enough, for the Rock to call it a day..
