there is rumours (and it's also in Boxrec) that this match-up happens in undercard of Marco Huck-Ola Afolabi 5th December. Card also includes Oleg Platov vs Cengiz Koc. All 4 heavyweights represent Saeurland Event so it looks like that Sauerland is having an eliminator of their own, undercard of Abraham-Taylor they had their other hevies Dettweiler and Oloukun fighting each other. There was also romours of Helenius-Dettweiler at some point

Brewster is quite a leap in opposition for Helenius after 9 pro fights and I'm worried.IF Sauerland doesn't think Brewster as a shot fighter.

what do you guys think?

This is a big test for Helenius, but Sauerland must have faith in him or they wouldn't put him in with Brewster.

Brewster is done as a top fighter but he is still dangerous, Brewster has been in some excellent fights.

now there are rumours that he would be fighting Taras Bidenko first
so first Bidenko 7th November and then Brewster 5th December
:thinkerg: that can't be right, real sink or swim test

That sounds a bit much. IMO he'd be better off having a longer rest inbetween or even fighting a gimme instead of Bidenko. He's still inexperienced, there's no need to rush him.

The fight with Bidenko has been confirmed for Nov 7, and Helenius is still scheduled for Dec 5 vs. Brewster.

But if Helenius doesn't win on Nov 7, they'll likely get someone else to fight Brewster on Dec 5, maybe Dettweiler or Pulev.

If Helenius wins both fights, he'll be 11-0 and considered a bona fide heavyweight contender.

I've heard that Helenius-Bidenko won't be shown in the UK, which is a shame as I was looking forward to it.

Yes, it's the best matchup on the undercard. Pulev-Olouken is another good one.

Helenius got past stage one in impressive fashion. Brewster can punch but I'm not sure if he has anything left. Helenius should be able to go further, to a world title shot possibly.

One thing most people don't know is that Brewster is and has been under medical suspension in the United States since he lost to Sergey Lyakhovich in 2006. Germany is the only place he can fight til he reapplys for a licence in the U.S. He was under that suspension when he got a title rematch with Klitschko(in spite of the fact Brewster had not fought in a year and lost his last fight). German comissions are not subject to the ABC rules(US commisions). So Brewster might be more on vacation more than reserrecting his boxing career. That may be how the promoter and managers may view it if they take this bout.

That's not true, you're making it up. He fought in the US in August 2008:

I read in Ring Magazine that when he fought Klitschko the second time, Brewster was under suspension in the U.S. so there must be some truth to this. It was because of eye problems.

Not making it up, but thats the standard reply from people that don't know. You are right Brewster did fight in the US in 2008 so I give credit for the correction.
But he was suspended during the Klitschko fight
secondsout.com/columns?cs=19125&ccs=208

And as I said German comissions do not have to abide by US suspensions, there also states that do not.

Here is more on Brewster's defying the suspension and why all States don't comply.
sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3032059

Again, why do you think Brewster is fighting Germany?

Sure it does mate, second to last paragraph, right next to his picture lol

quote for the page;
""Federal law requires that states honor medical suspensions imposed on a fighter by another state," Lueckenhoff continued. "It's not hard to find out if a fighter is on medical suspension. It's right on the Internet. But last year alone, there were 24 violations by our own member commissions that I know of. And then you have a fighter like Lamon Brewster, who's on medical suspension. He goes over to Germany and fights for a world title, still on suspension, and HBO televises it. What kind of message does that send?"

Why is he still fighting? That Barney Gumble look a like heavyweight had Hepatits so he last fought OUTSIDE of the U.S. in his home country I think.

Is the U.S. still a free country? A lot of people here getting held back, why?

Barack just opened up the U.S. to HIV postive visitors to come in the country, just recently, yet Americans with HIV and AIDS have always traveled outside the U.S. freely (to spread the disease). How hypocrite is this?

I'm not too familiar with who Brewster's upcoming opponents are, never saw their fights. I say put TUA in there and KTFO all these bums!!!

Helenius won.fight was stopped after 3 round 'cause the cut over Bidenkos' eye.

"Finnish heavyweight Robert Helenius (10-0, 6 KOs) followed Kubrat Pulev by making his step up as well. Helenius took on Ukrainian stylist Taras Bidenko (26-4, 12 KOs) and stopped him in three bloody rounds. The Finnish fighter controlled the action from the outside with his hard jab. He also used a left hook to cut the Ukrainian’s face badly in different spots though Bidenko was never been seriously rocked throughout the fought rounds. However, the bout was stopped between the third and the fourth rounds as Bidenko, who was destroyed by Denis Boytsov in his last fight, was bleeding too much to be allowed to continue."

He impressed me in the fight with Bidenko. He was very calm and in control for every second, and his punches were hard, accurate and damaging.

He'll probably be on the first Sauerland card in 2010. It would be nice if he or Pulev could come to America with Abraham and fight on the same card.
