Anderson Silva was closely following the fight between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio "Shogun" and discussed the controversial outcome to the talks TATAME. For the middleweight champion of the event, the Judges made the correct assessment. "The Lyoto fought well, was very well trained. It was a hard fought fight. Shogun fought at his pace very well, was very well prepared, is very experienced, but the technique was superior and Lyoto won resoundingly, "said Anderson.

According to the training partner Lyoto, they should go home and draw a new strategy for a possible rematch, confident that the karateka won the fight. "They fought well, made a good fight, but Machida won well. Now it is back home and see what he had supposedly done wrong. This struggle has passed, does not matter anymore, he is the champion, a great person, a great athlete, "he said, congratulating the performance of former fellow Chute Boxe.

"Shogun has done well, this fight was a fight that all MMA fans liked to see. In my opinion, Lyoto won all rounds. Shogun drew a good strategy to attack the legs, but it was not enough. There are coaches who have to decide, but the judges ... Lyoto won well, now it's back to training as soon as possible ", concluded Anderson.

Anderson Silva is just being a good friend, he pretty much knows that Shogun won the fight. It was the Sturm-DeLaHoya of MMA.

One of the judges defended his scoring, stating that although Shogun was aggressive, he was not affective. His failed takedown attempts did not score him any points but scored for Machida defending against them. His punches were clean and precise and affective. While Shogun was doing a lot of leg kicks.

I noticed also during the match, Joe Rogan was mostly calling Shogun's connection but not Machida's straight left to Shogun's face.

He also stated that Machida dictated the distance and movement of the fight and gave Machida ring generalship.

is silva for real?....i just lost a little respect for him. i dont care if he's machida's brother or best friend, it shouldnt matter when 90% of the people see it the other way. silva is a fool for saying machida won.

to win the against the champion, you have to win overwhelmingly

just like lyoto did when he won the championship.

shogun failed to do that, and the odds are always in favor of

the reigning champion, which is why he was awarded the victory.

WTF is he supposed to say. He come from arguably the best team in the world and he basically promoted Machida for the past two years.

I sense a slight bias coming from Anderson on this call.

I wouldn't call Casa Preta the best camp in the world at all. They have a select few greats. But the talent pool at places like ATT and Jackson's are more stacked, IMO.

No Kidding. I can understand supporting your fighter, but stevie wonder could see that Machida didn't win all five rounds. That's just absurd. Even the biggest fanboys of Machida who think Machida won gave Shogun the last two rounds. Even the judges gave Shogun that last 1 or 2 rounds.

its funny cuz its mma trying to have a controversial robbery like boxing has all the time. but the different with mma and boxing is, boxing has a lot of hard to judge , close fights, mma really isnt that hard to judge. and especially a one sided fight such as this contest was. it was a joke , absolute joke. they think mma is taking over, but in reality , they have a lot to learn

I understand Machida being his good friend, but he could've at least gave his "former" teammate some sort of credit.

Who on team Jackson can compete withe Blackhouse fighters
Machida, Silva, Nog
**** on any of Greg Jacksons best.
GSP don't want nothin to do with Silva. (that's a period)
Evans had his chance and there are numerouse gifs out there. Needless to say if they ever fight again Evans will be the underdog.

Better yet let's just say there isn't a fighter in Jackson's camp the can be anything other than k.o'd by Team Blackhouse's 185lb. champ.

I think Silva could handle Jardine, Nate, and Evans on the same night within 6 rounds...lol !!!
We'll leave Machida out of this one.

If you score it round by round, technically in most people's eyes, Shogun wins. This isn't the Pride Days where the Japanese Judges score the fight on the whole fight itself.

Funny you say that yet you're in a boxing site.
