It's probably true, why do you think it was kept so hush hush and pushed under the rug?

Back injuries are common with steroid use.

Yeah but he has had back problems before so I wouldn't say it was because of the steriods use. It's not like he has used steriods all his career that's pretty much obvious.

Vargas has a sore back from carrying the hopes and dreams of Latin American fans who wanted an anti-DeLaHoya to root for....obviously he couldn't handle the weight, so his back gave out :)

Vargas most likely used steroids before the Oscar fight, who knows, but his back problems probaly came from fighting, and working out.

Steroids and if I do recall Vargas did heavy lifting, perhaps he injured his back due to not being flexible enough through the type of exercises he was doing.

None the less noone knows for sure, but steroids did play a role (small or big we dont know) in his injury.

Did I strike a nerve? It's not my fault that mexicans have to use roids in order to compete.

Latinos are the greatest fighters walking this earth right now.

To me its all a cycle

Whites ruled for some period
Blacks ruled for some period
Latinos rule this period

Im not coming of as racist but it does seem like a cycle of ethnicity in boxing.

I agree with Jinx on this one. The roids might have been a factor, but I think he just lifted weights recklessly and probably injured himself squatting 900lbs.
