Thought I'd make a duplicate of this thread that is in NSB to see what you guys thought?

Once again Kat carries the torch for Australian boxing at the top level.

The fight is being touted for early next year.

Thoughts?

I think you "Fosters" drinking, crocodile wrestling cunts are in for a big shock when my boy Marquez knocks his block off. :boxing:

I think it'll be a great fight while it lasts.

I'm picking Marquez to win this fight comfortably as well.

There is a very significant skill differential between the two.

Still, I'm sure Kat will go down fighting as always and give a great account of himself. You gotta respect Mick for consistently going after the best possible fighter he can.

Katsidis can do a massive amount of damage if he lures JMM into a brawl. Other than that, he gets outclassed.

The problem is that Marquez can brawl with skill whilst Kat can't.

I think Kat will succeed in making it a brawl, he will just get beat at it.

I doubt any of us would be shocked at all. Its what I would expect to happen. Might be time for Marquez to retire if he can't stop Katsidis. I know its cliche to say, but Katsidis is tailor made for JMM.

A plodding pressure fighter with minimal defence versus a hard counter-puncher. I know where my money would be. Mick's only chance would be an early knockout, something that nobody is yet to achieve against Marquez.

In saying that, I will be cheering for Katsidis all the way!

JMM by TKO (doctor stoppage) rounds 8-10.

No. Waiting to see whether Marquez will fight or vacate.

Agree with all this.

Don't listen to the **** Bringer spews anyways, he's just a fat, conspiracy-loving yank.

I've heard some creditable rumours that Katsidis will only be having 2 more fights in the future before retiring. Who does katsidis fight next? What fighter gets him the best payday?

(Let's assume that Marquez decides to vacate his title, elevating Katsidis to full WBO champion.) I.e Katsidis does not fight Marquez.

According to WBO website rankings, these are the top 5 contenders: Antonio De Marco, Jorge Barrios, Alex Arthur, Anthony Peterson and Ali Funeka.

We can also throw John Murray into the mix as well having called out Katsidis a few weeks ago. Who should Mike fight in his next 2 fights?

Let's discuss in terms of risk versus reward.
