who is the best among the lion heart of the tennis world?
sampras posed-up a line of victories same as agassi that potray an exciting role in tennis...both players had skills, but who's the best among the two contenders? for me, i'll picked agassi. he had an aura to excite the viewers who watched at him when played, a top contender, a player who amazed the people who watched at him...

I'm not really a Tennis fan, but I do like watching a couple of guys play like Agassi, Hewitt, and Roddick. and for womens I like watching the Williams sister, mostly because Serena has a big booty.

To respond to what you were saying, I know Sampras was better, but I think Agassi did have something about him what made people like watching him play. So yeah, I'll pick neither...

I think Aggasi
but my favorite of all time is
Johnny Mac
he was the man, no one in any sport got so into it.
like Johnny did.
and he has more balls than some of our current HW in boxing
i dont wanna name anyone
*cough* JOHN RUIZ!!!!!!!!. *cough*

Sampras had ZERO charisma but had some serious skills man.
Agassi is more like a gatti type guy.

Right now Roger Federer is by far the best, if not ALREADY the greatest of all time.

I only seen him play once, and that was against Agassi...a match he loss. I'm not that big on tennis, but what's so great about him?

bro., you're right...sampras had zero charisma that's why -they like agassi instead...but agassi attracts the live audience when he played by power, skills and controlling the game...that's why they loved him the way he play. :)

Sampras was the best mens player ever imo. John McEnroe was the most entertaining. Andre Agassi is also fun to watch.

head to head, and overall titles speaks volumes sampras owned that ass. the only argument for agassi that can be made is he was a more skilled player (you wont get any argument from me) as proven that he won at least every major tournament once (pete never won a french open). once petes natural ability started to fade he was done, while agassi can still play on og skills alone.

....When the chips were down Pete always came up with the goods. Head to head Agassi couldn't hang with Pete. However, Agassi was our best davis cup player between the two and put it on the line for his country many times. Andre has been able to stay with the younger guys(with the exception of Federer) and that's amazing considering how long he has played. Nothing like watching Andre under the lights in New York for the US Open and nothing like watching Pete dominate at Wimbledon. Sampras really put a stamp on his career when he won one last major when people said he was completely done. When Pete was trying to make a statement nobody could take him out. Not any of the past greats or any of the current ones.

you convince me the way sampras won and dominate the wimbledon open,he acts as a serious player at the field, when he down he try make a lift.that's why he's one of the greatest. talking about agassi, he's one of the greatest who potray not to give-he can compete among the young seeders, and charisma who loved by the crowd-that's why i'd like him. but don't ever under estimate pete same as agassi does.both players are top contenders... :)

Pete is long retired

Btw jack Roger federer right now is so dominating the mens division it isnt funny.
He is like 42 and 1 this season
The match he lost was because of some foot blister and he wasn't at full fitness.
Lleyton Hewitt is extremely frustrated with him, i dont think he has beaten him yet :D and he was destroyed by him in the recent pacific open.

Federers and sampras in their primes, federer wins almost every time.
He is too good for him like he showed at wimbledon a few years back when roger was just coming on to the scene. Even sampras says himself he is on his way to being the greatest of all time.

yeah masterdirector i laughed at your pictures. needs a bit more work though.

I loved watching agassi v sampras...i liked agassi's game more though..his baseline style was awesome when he was younger. It still is now but not as powerful. I'll never forget the 1995 Australian Open where he blew away Rafter in the semis and then crushed Sampras in 4 sets in the final. However I think sampras got him back that year in the US open.

Nowadays, Federer is the most talented & would dominate if there wasn't a guy called Marat Safin. Safin, when he keeps his concentration is the only guy with the game big enough to overpower Federer. He simply bludgeoned Federer with his serve and groundstrokes. Can't wait till the next Grandslam!!

i watched ATP series, and i impressed how agassi determined to win. he beat gaudio in the elimination to getting forward to the round which is quarterfinals. he never give up even though he is older than gaudio- and gaudio is more flexible and quicker than him. gaudio was very dissapointed when the times of pointbreaks in their rubbermatch have doesn't prevail. that's why the crowd loves him very much(agassi) he wants this cup to determined that he is not older enough for force to retire. he wants to prove this one!

Agassi and Graf

Think their kids will be able to play some tennis?

And Graf is probably higher on the alltime great tennis player list than Andre.

tennis is a game of survival of the fittest! it's a tough game that requires agility and tenacity! and with that in mind (and i guess that by just mentioning this factor), agassi is a run-out winner because up to now, he's still competing and can give some of the younger ones a run for their money! sampras has retired already, so that makes it agassi as the better one if we'll consider this factor that i have mentioned as one factor for selecting!

definitely. She's almost there isn't she. She needs to decide if she wants to be a celebrity or a great tennis player. I think that's what ****ed up Venus Willianms. Lack of focus, scewed priorities.

sampras was more exciting than agassi because of his crisp and accurate serves, while aggasi was known better for his volleys. it's like two opposing factions fighting on extremely opposite styles.

the only mark on sampras' armor is his inability to win a title on clay. while agassi won on almost all turf. sampras, despite his greatness, was more of a one-dimensional player, he was at his best playing on fast grounds while on clay, his power is almost worthless.

being the more well-rounded player, i think agassi is the best in his sport

what do you think of his dad? isn't he overreacting sometimes? i saw him on tv one time when sharapova won over venus williams (this was a title match i think). i think a fan shouted something at him and that got him very angry. and sharapova i think is a little temperamental, too. you can see it in her eyes and everytime she commits unforced errors, she seems so mad at herself. i can't help but compare her to hingis - she's a lot cooler than her. but in fairness to sharapova, she's doing great and despite her not so good facial expression when she's playing, she deserves where she is right now.

Sampras was the better tennis player, but Agassi was by far the much bigger star. He was more than the game, while Sampras was all game. Dude had people wearing neon, it's takes some serious star power to do that ****.

Sampras is probably top 3 all time while Agassi is a little lower. Sampras isn't the greatest of all time cause he didn't win a french.

Serena is just too damn muscular for my tastes. She's not Nicole Bass level, but still...she needs to quit hitting the 'Roids.

He gave Mark McGwire injections in the men's room. He also gave him steroids.

sampras' game is one-dimensional, purely power serves and nothing else, could not volley and return serves better than agassi.

how come agassi be lower than sampras? agassi won every tournament there is, including the olympics and all grandslam tournaments. sampras looks like **** in clay, could not volley, and very dependent on his serves. power serves have no effect on low-bouncing clay floorings!

Agassi was ranked like 250th in the world while he was married to Brooke Shields. He SUCKED!!! Agassi's focus has come and gone, Sampras was the dominant player in the world for over a decade. he has more Major tournament victories than any man in the history of the sport. Agassi is top ten. Sampras is the clear #1, the only other men who come close are Rod Laver and Roy Emerson.

He was unstoppable at his peak and Agassi would have problems passing him at the net which Pete would be at due to his excellent serve.

He'd get passed some, sure, but I'm going with Sampras.

Yeah he never won a french but he rocked, nuff said.
Federer was injured during that australian V Safin.
He still hasnt lost a match since then i think, he destroyed Hewitt in the pacific masters.
federer is better than sampras i think, its just a matter of time until he proves it.
