But he does have a point when he says it was unfair that the format was changed, and that he didn't get a fair crack of the whip. Jack Straw had a nightmare as well. If the politicians get their act together, there will never need to be a person like Griffin anywhere near politics. But they're all so useless I find it hard to be optimistic. I thought Portillo spoke a lot of sense on the programme that was on afterwards.

I was a bit disappointed to be honest, instead of putting him on the spot and getting answers out of him, it just ended with everyone talking over him and taking shots at him.

It's likely to make a lot more apolitical people want to now get more involved in order to do what they can to oppose Mr. Griffin. I think he was exposed pretty decisively. He thought he could go on and convince people that he just wants to solve their immigration and terrorism fears yet it was clearly made evident that he just highlights those areas in order to steal voters in the hopes he will later be able to unveil and exercise his more perverse plans.

When he makes his homophobic and anti-Jew comments doesn't he realise that makes him the same as the Muslim extremists?

It's also pretty weak how he refers to us as a Christian society. What percentage of people you know in this country would you say are practicing Christians? It's mainly just a few really old people and even most of them only do it for the social/traditional aspects. I'd say we're a predominantly atheist/agnostic society.
