Anyone else heard about Mundine supposedly just turning up way overweight and telling his opponent to go fuk himself?

Can this guy be any more of a cunt.

Not that this card warrants much discussion but I thought I'd start a thread on it anyways seeing as I am buying it.

Anyone else out there going to suffer through it?

DANIEL Geale isn't getting too far ahead of himself as he counts down the months to a re-match with bitter rival Anthony Mundine.

Geale steps into the ring at the Silverdome in Launceston tonight against Brazilian power-puncher Samir Dos Santos Barbosa, before he gets another crack at Mundine in February.

Mundine fights Argentina's Alejandro Falliga tonight in a non-title bout on the same card.

Mundine should have little trouble against Falliga, ranked as Argentina's fourth-best fighter in the division.

Falliga and Mundine exchanged heated words in the warm-up with the Argentinian tagging his Australian opponent as unprofessional for trying to alter their fight limit by an extra 1.5kg on the eve of tonight's bout to super-middleweight.

The pair had originally agreed to fight at 74.5kg, but at the last minute Mundine sought to have the limit raised to 76kg.

It prompted a tirade of verbal blows between the two fighters at the pre-fight press conference in Launceston, before Falliga stormed out.

What a dog. I s'pose he knows he can get away with it. Geale had a hard time making weight as well, having to strip down to his birthday suit on the scales.

Haha, yeah I heard that, mental. At least Geale won't be fighting at 168. I hate watching him fight at that weight, he looks terribly cumbersome and ****.

As far as Mundine is concerned - cunt. Horrible cunt.

Both won by decision, as I'm sure you now know.

Opponents were extremely defensive. Particularly Mundine's - he was a runner straight up to be honest. Geale's fight had a little more action but he should have let his hands go a lot more.

I think Geale beats Mundine in a rematch. Mundine has pretty much reduced himself to single punches now, he barely through a combination in the entire fight.

Mundine called out the Pavlik-Williams winner after the fight. He is a total joke.

On the whole the card was a disgrace for $50. I obviously knew that going in but if I was an unsuspecting punter and I paid $50 for that I would be feeling pretty annoyed. Its no wonder boxing can't get mainstream popularity in Australia.

How'd you mate Jimmy James go?

He got stopped in the third mate.

It was an odd fight. He got knocked down in both the first and second rounds, but other than the KDs he probably had the better of the action. He opened up in the third as he was well behind and got caught with a big shot and the ref stopped him on his feet.

I thought he had the tools to beat the guy, but he made some tactical errors IMO. He needed to use his right hand more, I though the bloke was particularly open for uppercuts. Also, he had him pretty hurt towards the end of the first and I don't think he fully realised it. He needed to let his hands go more at that point.

Still, I'm sure he'll learn from the fight.

Ah well, that's how the game runs sometimes.

Sounds like it was the most entertaining fight of the night though.

Yeah, it probably was.

You know who is starting to piss me off? Robbie Medley. I've always been a bit of a fan but why the fuk does the man keep coming in to all his fights in horrible condition? He looked very ordinary - sluggish and just poor. He needs to be training harder and getting himself in proper shape for his fights.
