View Full Version : Why Pacquiao was robbed

It is very hard to win a decision against a bob arum fighter in las vegas, usually you need a knockout. I had pacquiao winning the fight 115 to 113 or 116 to 112. I had him winning early and winning late. He brought the fight to morales big time and showed effective aggressiveness throwing and landing many more power punches. I also think he hurt morales more though when pacquiao gets hit it looks overly dramatic cuz he jumps.

You cant be serious! Only an extremely biased fan of Pac's would find a way to give the decision to him! I've read alot of things by pac fans at this site since Erik beat him, but not one of them thought Pac won. Youre definately the first. Hate that, cause your so wrong!

You had pac winning 8 rounds with a lower connect percentage, and lower numbers of landed punches, and less clean punches,

I don't think even Freddy Roach would have scored it that way.

ou must be punch drunk like that guy on your avatar. If anything the judges gave Manny a lot of close rounds. I had Manny winning a close first round and the 9th and 12th and that is it.

I managed to give manny rounds: 1,6,9,10 & 12..but Erik did more, and looked fantastic during that fight. Going southpaw for the 12th was crazy of him, but I think he did that to rile up the fans (and it worked)..I dont think there's any question that Erik won. I have to wonder if he made this thread as outrageous as it is knowing many would reply and he'd make a hell of alot of pt's for it. I cant imagine anyone scoring it for Manny..not anybody that knows how to score anyway!!!

the first time i saw the fight i had MOrales winning115-113, but i watched the tape again and i scored it the same score but in favor of pacquiao. erik won some rounds in the judge's scorecards because pacquiao is always off balance and his defence sux. when morales hit him it looked bad, so that is what catches the eye of the judge. the fight could have easily gone either way

Reasons why this thread should be deleted:

1.) It sucks :sucks:

2.) Pacquiao clearly lost and even his biggest supporters on this site will admit that

3.) <----- That dancing banana now has more credibility than you

4.) :trink26: When one hits the sauce too hard they say crazy things

5.) Just kidding mayne but no Pacquiao really lost the fight and his die hard fans who are rational (m00ks, thrilla, jomapac, kepsy, etc...) will all tell you that. Hell even evos admitted to Morales winning.

well someone probably saw the fight

I don't think Morales dominated him but he did enough to get the decision. I had Morales winning by 1 round. I thought he could've put Pac away but was just as tired as Pac towards the end. Him going southpaw was not a good idea. He was rocked by a few lefts & rights Pac threw in that round.

wow, I was battling back and forth between who I would go for from the day the Pac vs. Morales match was decided. A couple days before the fight, I decided to go with Pac. But damn, Pac got beat, clearly. I haven't scored it yet, but it just felt like 115-113 for Morales was just wrong. It really felt more like 116-112 or even 117-111 for El Terrible.

But no way Pac won that fight.

someone pac thinks he can def beat
but he wont
then theres part 4
thatll be with JMM to end all odubts about pac

dont even need to say their names

They should put Morales and Pac man, and JMM and MAB all in the ring at the same time and have it out. That is the only way we will know who is the best once and for all.

i feel sorry for people who love a fighter so much they can't bear to see him lose. morales won clearly, i thought 115-113 was far to generous to manny. lets face it, after the first 2 rounds marquez schooled his ass, and now morales has done the same. when you look at manny objectively, he has a lot of pace, is scary fit and is very powerful. but he is wide open when he comes in, and if you are quick enough to counter him he's there for the taking, barrera was'nt but marquez and morales were.

you hit me right as a Manny fan, but there was no question who won.

There was no way Pacman could win that match.

Youre right, the 10th was extremely close, and I was actually leaning toward giving it to erik, but, I'm a hugh Morales fan, and I was worried that I was being biased. Thats why I was so relieved when the judges had the same score I did  I keep telling myself that the day I cant be objective is the day I stop trying to score when my fav's are fighting. And there is life after Morales' victory, too, you know? So let's ALL move on. ALL - meaning, both Morales and Pac fans! :boxing:

Normally I'd agree with that theory, however, this fight (and the possible outcome) was debated month after month..it became the proverbial "dead horse". Because of that fact alone, nobody can expect any of the Morales fans to just 'wrap up' the subject a few days after the victory....be reasonable. With all the prefight talk and predictions, etc. we're gonna beat the outcome to death too..it's completely natural. And, you have to admit, if Pac had won, none of Pacs fans would even consider 'giving it up'! And I wouldnt expect any of the too either. :)
We've been waiting for this, so let us enjoy it! :D

You are the only pacfan on this forum who has not been making excuses as to why he lost. You admit the truth, and I am pretty sure every Morales fan respects that, and is not trying to piss you off intentionally. There were just far too many over the top extremist remarks following his defeat;

and they were not coming from you. Hats off Joma. I personally think you are the most loyal pacfan, being your avatar says it all. Win or lose. That is pretty fugging cool.

Add kepsy and mooks (and i'm sure a few others) to the list of those that are not making excuses....and RWK's youre right, the Morales fans DO appreciate it! Personally I love it cause it's giving Erik his full due..taking nothing away from his performance and accomplishment! I dont think the majority of the posters on this thread are making their comments just to piss off the pac fans....just gotta give our man props! ;)

Put anybody with a defense that "sux" in front of Morales and the judges will see the same thing .... a guy who is getting knocked off-balance by accurate combos from the Mexican. That will definitely win you rounds, especially if you are not connecting the same way.

Understandable..and it would be the same way if Pac had won..just Pacland instead ;) I already posted that since all the prefight talking and debating had gone on for so long that it became a dead horse, it's only right that the post fight debating become one too! :D

Th left hand landed on the cheek, gash was in his eye brow. When they clashed heads they didn't just bump, they scraped.
Just checked-out that head butt again. Strange how Pac lunges to his right really hard at Erik, leading with his head, while Erik is moving only very slowly to his right, toward Pac. If you didn't know better, it looks like Pac was throwing his head at Erik (doubtful). Pac must have been expecting some movement from Erik that just wasn't there when he moved over and in ... POP!

it was
they clash heads
but pac takes eriks head in between the eye brows
then he followed up with a left hook that causes the cut way in the back
the headbutt didnt cause it
besides erik had already set the pace with those jabs for a cut to occur
i thought it was the headbutt... just looked at it again about four times in slow-mo. that follow-up hook after the head clash was more on the chin and side of his face and nowhere near the top of his eye.

You discredit Morales' win by saying he fights "chicken gays". Morales' legacy is not built on that kinda' ****, he actually fights the top-tier guys, like Pac.
the "chicken gay" is an old joke between the pinoy and mexican fans from the old forums.
abdiel is a closet pac-nuthugger... he's just in denial because manny lost. he woulda been the first to jump on the bandwagon had he won... :D

I dunno, I guess one could argue that Pac-man was robbed, but IMHO the decision was just. It cannot be denied that he put up a fantastic fight, though. That could easily be the fight of the year.

I think Pac was robbed too. Morales was hitting him too hard in the face and body. The ref should have taken a point away from him. Morales lost this fight by atleast the score of 116-112, right Pacquaio fans? Manny looked so graceful in the ring when he would take a right hand and jump back about 5 feet. Great Stuff. I can't believe they didn't stop the fight after the first round. And the Gloves? The evil promoter didn't let Pacman use his magic Red Gloves in there and he must have felt naked and weak without them. Shame on Muhammed. Shame on Freddie Roach for not "pumping him up". Shame on Morales for hitting him so hard and headbutting him. Shame on the fans for yelling too loud and making our beloved Pacman lose his train of though. I demand an investigation! Keep on making noise Fellow Pacquiao fans. Our voices shall be heard!!!

Boxhead, though it was somewhat of a humerous post, that had to be one of the most sarcastic things I've read in a long time. Well done. Heheh.

One could argue?? Argue with what? Erik won that fight, plain and simple, and only the blindest Pac fan would delude himself into thinking otherwise!
