Im not sure who wins this one, the more i think about it the harder it gets, But im leaning towards Hearns, But Pernell was so damn hard to land on, Maybe he would have pulled out an amazing win

If the 3 knockdown rule is in effect, then TKO 1. Whitaker would drop into his crouch, and Hearns would punch straight down on him like Trinidad did. Mismatch.

Hearns too tall and rangey for sweet pea.. Whitaker is only 5ft 6" without 1 punch stopping power.. Hearns would stop him midway..

Pea is the significantly smaller man here, he may be able to avoid most of what hearns throws his way, but I can't see hm being able to get in too many counters or punches of his own either, he'd be right on the defensive every second because of the size of Hearns and the explosiveness of his attack. I think Hearns wins a decision with maybe a few Kd's along the way, Pea too crafty and elusive to finish off, but too small and forced onto the defensive for the whole fight.

Sweet pea was great, and in my opinion ranks higher all time p4p. But Hearns was an offensive machine. If you didn't have a punch to hurt him with he was taking the fight to you. He was outboxing Leonard till Ray turned it into a brawl.....but Pea doesn't have the same fire power as Ray Leonard.

The early rounds would be slow with Whitaker on the defensive, but once Tommy settled in he would start battering Pernell up until the final bell for a comfortable UD.

I think Hearns wins by decision but I don't think it'll be one sided or anything like that, it would take Hearns a few rounds to be comfortable and find his range against Whitaker, once he does though, he takes over.

too much of a size difference IMO. Hearns would win

No way a 5'6" natural lightweight who was buzzed by Julio Caesar Vasquez goes the distance with Hearns at 147.

As good as Whitaker was, I'm going with Hearns.
