Good day everybody

Last week I was doing some shadow boxing and I threw a left hook that caused pain to my shoulder. It was not too much but the pain is enough to bother me from throwing any lefts.

Now the pain is still here but the pain isnt that strong anymore however I still cant throw power shots from my left.

Is this an injury or just a minor shoulder pain? Thanks.

Is it deep in your shoulder? If so it could be your rotator cuff. I messed mine up pretty badly and been out of the actual gym for about two months now. Take it easy!

apply icy hott on where it hurts and it should heal in no time but take some rest and come back strong :)

Whew I thougt this pain will stick permanently. But I still want to go to the gym so I guess Ill just focus on my jab and right hand punches

Like dude said, rub some icy hot on it and dont throw it hard for a few days it should get better. If its in the back of your shoulder, let it rest and then work on those muscles with a light dumbell.

If it's recurring pain, you should probably take time off to let it heal.

And as it's been said -- ice it.

Is this an injury or just a minor shoulder pain? Thanks.you are swinging in a wild and furious motion in the air .slow the punches down,if you punch with finesse and accuracy when you are shadow boxing you should feel refreshed after a workout, but you are throwing uncalled for wild haymakers that will cause shoulder discomfort and with time will eventually seperate your shoulder, just throw nice even punches:boxing:

It's got nothing to do with that. Top amateurs and pros with flawless technique get a similar injury. **** off, you annoy me because you could easily mislead some kid on here.
