Why are there so many idiots who watch combat sports? A fight on the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter ended in a TKO from a cut. Right after, people are on the internet screaming about how MMA should ban elbows or how the doctor shouldn't be allowed to stop the fight because of a cut.

This happens in boxing too. People scream whenever a fight is stopped from a cut, even if the guys face looks like it was hit by an axe. Cuts happen. Stoppages happen because of them.

So please, if you have ever complained about a stoppage from a cut just because it was stopped, then stop posting. Go away. Delete your account and quit bothering the rest of us. You know who you are.

people say that if the fighter says he wants to continue then they should let it continue. That's bull****. If the fighter cared about life threating injury or carrer ending cuts then he wouldn't fight at all, he would be sitting next to you on the couch. Fighters never wanna quit in the ring and they shouldn't, that is why the doc is there.

Excatly. Its sad, but sometimes a fighter doesn't know whats best for him and neither does it corner.

I knew what was best for me and stepped out of the game early. I never did and never would have quit in the middle of a bout however. I did return for bouts years later but they were nothing. Fighters only know one thing in the ring, and that is to fight and fight hard. If a fighters eye was hanging out of his head, he would probably just grab it with the glove and just try to shove it back in there for another few seconds of fight time from the ref. They are a rare breed..... Rockin'

ya the real problem is if you sit out of a basketball game, the next night you can get right back in there.

In boxing or MMA you get into amazing shape, workout for months, then you get 30 min max do something with it. If you step out because of a cut then its months before you can do anything again.
