I think that Corrales has become a little more patient and finds holes more effectively than he used to. He's also touched up his boxing skills as of late. We all know what Castillo is gonna bring. I wonder if this fight will be more of a calculated fight that breaks out into a brawl in the late rounds...or just an all out, somebody gets stopped early street fight.

The "toe to toe" idea is more than likely the blueprint for Castillo. Corrales needs to establish a jab, and lead with the left hook if he is going to have a chance at beating JLC. He has to use the little height advantage he has on Castillo, and his thin frame is not going to do justice if they get into exchanges.
I feel that Chico will try and be tactical as the fight progresses, using his jab in a defensive manner.
Castillo will shrug these potshots off and go to war. Taking the fight to Corrales and systematically breaking him down.

Castillo would like to bury his head in his chest, and will.

Getting thru Chico's jab is easier said than done, Castillo is gonna take a lot of leather on the way in, cuts & swelling will play a big factor in this fight....

The only fight lately that Corrales appeared to add some things to his gameplan was the Casamayor rematch which I thought Casamayor won by close decision. He looked his ordinary self against Freitas. Corrales isn't going to be able to box good enough to keep Castillo off of him. It will be more of a brawl than chess match. Castillo will get to Corrales body the way he does everyone else and he will punish Corrales while inside.

Somebody will say Corrales will land big shots while Castillo tries to come in but it will more than likely be one shot which I think Castillo's chin will be able to hold up against. Castillo also uses slight head movement while moving inside so it wouldn't be that easy for Corrales to land when Castillo forces his way in. Bodypunching followed by hard punches upstairs will bring Corrales down for the late stoppage after Castillo gives him a fairly one-sided beating. Corrales will have his moments but Castillo will just have too many punches and too much pressure for Corrales to handle.

The only "rig" in that fight was a turnbuckle that sent Big time collapsing on the canvas.

could you please define a non-money fight? there was a betting line, on both the match AND the over/under, both of which shifted dramatically in the hours leading up to the fight, McCline didn't throw a serious punch the entire fight, Vlad let McCline stick around for 10 full rounds, then McCline took a spill once he had gotten to the "over"

a more classic exaple was DeLaHoya-Campas, when Yori Boy's cornerman jumped into the ring about 1 minute following the "over" going thru

I am not sure how much either fighter was paid for that fight. But I am sure it was peanuts in comparison to the purse Wlad recieved in the comeback fight against Brewster. Media attention played a key role in that,

and IMO the Mcline/Wlad fight was meant to be a tuneup for Klitschko. I can understand how this might be construed as a "fix":
When Wlad was SUPPOSED to win the fight, which he did.

And another thing Sac, who in the hell bet on that fight?
If you were the suspect, you should have went out on town that evening, gone dancing or something.

I would have much rather bet on the undercard of which I forgot.

I would not take the phacking 30-1 odds or whatever they were. I would not even lay 10 down the line for 300.

I think corrales starts boxing with castillo cutting off the ring working on breaking corrales down.

Late in the fight Corrales is feeling the pain and is wearing down and he becomes desperate and brawls.

Castillo gets the best of him and stops him.

The 30-1 odds aren't what was rigged, pay attention homey, I was referring to the over/under, which is an EVEN money bet (or -110, but u know what I'm sayin'), and McCline took the dive after the "over" went thru....just like Yori Boy's cornerman, just like Freitas vs. Chico....

PS McCline got 1.5mil, Vlad got 2 mil

and Mayweather-Castillo 2 was the undercard fight
