Who wins this fight? For once I can foresee a potential fight between two of my absolute favorites. I have a hard time picking a winner So I vote for a draw. Both fighters are ridiculous counterpunchers and ring technicians. Marquez is the younger fighter, perhaps giving him the edge in stamina...this I do not know however.
Potential fight of the decade event between arguably the 2 best featherweights IMO.

Fight of the decade? Nah...
It'd be a nice fight but I'd favor Barrera just because he's stronger and more experienced. I can see it going either way though...with MAB fighting Marquez' fight for some odd reason and Marquez winning a dull decision.

I think this fight could live up to it's hype if it happened. The collision of their fighting styles makes for an interesting bout. If M.A.B. did fall into the traps that JMM lays, it could be dull like you say.
I just do not think so. This would be fireworks!

Do you think that it would really out do any of the MAB/EM fights? It just wouldnt have the same fire behind it. I think the style matchup would be interesting though. It'd be intriguing to see how Barrera would try and attack Marquez.

I would be extremely eager to see who the aggressor would be.
I think it would be M.A.B. however; circling in his "Stop-lefthook-and go" fashion. Perhaps distancing himself with the jab. Lets also make this case:
Barrera had trouble against Poison Jones. He was an excellent counterpuncher, much like JMM is shaping up to be. JMM does lack the mobility that Junior possesed however, {he can be hit}.

I agree. Intriguing, not necessarily blood-pumping.

This would be a very interesting, high-quality fight. However, I doubt it would be a war like with Barrera and Morales. More likely it will be an intense boxing match with some applause-worthy spurts of two-way exchanges.
I do favor Barrera, but only by around 5%. Barrera has a 55/45 chance to win in my view.

I would go for a ko by JMM IN THE MID TO LATE ROUNDS.

Barerra wins by UD. The fight may not be as exciting as MAB-EM or MAB-MP, but to those who want the fine techniques of boxing, this is a must see.

I`d pick MAB on points in a VERY close battle! could go either way!
