View Full Version : Did Pac-Morales feel like Tito-Mayorga?
ELPacman 03-21-2005, 01:04 PM For me it did. I felt like Morales was Tito trying to weather Manny's early storm. Of course Manny has more skill than Mayorga though it seemed his only way of winning was by the KO, and without that he couldn't really win at all. To Manny's credit, he never went down and seemed to get energy out of nowhere in the last rounds to try pulling a comeback :D
more like lennox vs tyson, to mannys credit he never went down? hes the monster of the fight to moraleses balls he dident go down lol i was scared im not going to lie pacman is ferocious.
What happened to all of the "Pacman K.O." talk man.
Seems a stretch now? dont you thinK?
While you are at it, what do you think of JMM and MAB's chances at a rematch with Manny? Morales?

Alibata 03-21-2005, 01:38 PM I was there live and thought it was a close fight. Morales only took it by 2 rounds. One more round for Pac and it would have been a draw. The fight was close and nothing like Tito-Mayorga. I thought Pac could take over at any point too bad he waited for the 12th to try.
FourPunchCombo 03-21-2005, 01:59 PM Tito/Mayorga was a one-sided beating. This fight was nothing like that. One fighter(Morales) was slightly better than the other(Paquiao). He executed his gameplan very well and won enuff rounds to secure a victory. If anyone watches the fight again, Pacman landed a GOOD amount of punches on Morales. One side beatings dont have back and forth trading like this fight did.
Funny how the truth is skewed because some fans went overboard over one fighter and the fans of another fighter just wants to rub it in without actually being straight forward about it. Morales won legit and at worst a draw could be argued. But in no way was the fight a one sided beatdown like Tito/Mayorga.
ELPacman 03-21-2005, 08:25 PM Well I guess I meant, with the whole buildup to the idea that Manny was suppose to or was gonna KO Morales such as Mayorga suppose to KO Tito. Then the person that was suppose to be KOed outboxed the other and nearly KOed him and in Tito's case, did. Of course I know it wasn't as one sided, unless you believe in Lederman's card which I thought was way too far apart. That or the judges felt bad that Manny had to fight with that blood covered face/nearly 1 eye.

Amen to that.
That's the way some fans make it out to be.
No wonder they couldn't distinguish prediction from reality and result.

Erik was never able to put him down. He said he threw everything he had and Pac never folded.
SuckaPunch 03-21-2005, 09:18 PM This was a stupid thread. It wasn't even close. And what's worse, this thread came off a Pacquiao supporter, what a shame!

borikua 03-21-2005, 09:25 PM Nope...more like a Morales-Barrera fight.
