View Full Version : [PLEASE HELP] Aussies, what time will the super six fights be? Infern0 10-13-2009, 08:05 PM Anyone know, usually big fights are on sunday afternoon but these are in the europe so it will be different. Dan... 10-13-2009, 08:07 PM I woulda thought they will be tailoring the times of the fights for yank TV wouldnt they? Which would mean they would be around the same time. If anything they might be a little earlier than normal. They aint on TV though are they? Philfy 10-13-2009, 10:15 PM I don't think they're showing them anywhere. I've been looking forward to these fights for ages and chances are I won't even get to watch them. What a farce. BTW, I'm picking Froch by a late TKO and Taylor by a split decision. BTW, I'm picking Froch by a late TKO and Taylor by a split decision. Yeah, gotta download them. It can be pretty fukn homo living is Australia sometimes. I hope Taylor gets up, would be great to see. I agree on Froch-Dirrell also. Andre seems to have skills but I doubt he can deal with the relentlessness of Froch. boxing_great 10-14-2009, 02:51 AM its on this week isn't it? Philfy 10-14-2009, 03:39 AM its on this week isn't it? Aye, this weekend. Clegg 10-14-2009, 04:37 AM Not sure of the time difference, but from what I've read, Froch-Dirrell will be about 2am UK time. I think that would be about an hour or so earlier than most of the big American fights. AA-JT is about 9PM or 10PM over here, so there will probably be a 3 hour gap between the fights I'd imagine. The Froch undercard is weak so not much to watch while you wait for the main event either. I'm unable to get the fight on TV as well, probably going to use one of those stream sites as it only costs £2 and it reduces the risk of it being taken down. Sαntα 10-14-2009, 05:50 AM Who you got in these fights Cleggy? He better have AA and CF. Clegg 10-14-2009, 05:59 AM I change my mind a lot, even this week. Right now though I think Dirrell is stepping up too soon. He hasn't been 12 rounds before, and his defense and footwork still need a quite a bit of improvement. On the other hand he does have potential, and Froch obviously has a lot of flaws. I think it'll probably be a Froch TKO after about 9 rounds. I think Abraham is a bit overrated, but beating him on points in Germany is going to be hard. Even with unbiased judges, Abraham does block a lot of shots and steal rounds at the end, and Taylor does tire late. Probably decision for AA. I'm cheering for Froch, but I'd rather see him lose than have Dirrell get robbed. A boring fight isn't too bad, but a robbery is going to harm the tournament. I just hope they have good officiating for every bout. Who you picking? Dan... 10-14-2009, 06:52 PM I change my mind a lot, even this week. Right now though I think Dirrell is stepping up too soon. Whatever happens should be two good fights. Infern0 10-14-2009, 08:21 PM Not sure of the time difference, but from what I've read, Froch-Dirrell will be about 2am UK time. Can i get that in new zealand, i dont mind paying 2 quid lol boxing_great 10-14-2009, 10:21 PM I think AA can ko taylor. Clegg 10-15-2009, 10:12 AM Can i get that in new zealand, i dont mind paying 2 quid lol Yes mate, it should work fine worldwide: http://www.flashsportstreams.com/ I've not used it before, but someone else I speak to on here has and told me it's good quality. I'm gonna get it, and then if it doesn't work for the Chelsea and Tottenham games in the afternoon I'll know that it's **** for the boxing in the evening. I'll be online on Saturday so if you're still undecided on the day I can let you know how it's working for the football, give you an idea if it's worth getting. Infern0 10-15-2009, 11:27 PM Ok let me know how it goes mate, anything is better than nothing. skyler 10-16-2009, 11:13 AM So what time is this fight going to be exactly? I wouldn't mind paying for a stream if it's decent quality. boxing_great 10-20-2009, 12:29 AM I think AA can ko taylor. **** i was spot on with my prediction. I was never really looking forward to this tournament, but it has started off with a bang. Now I can't wait for the other fights. I think kessler Froch will be a cracker! Does anybody else think Dirrell got robbed??I had him winning most rounds. The super 6 is definitely missing Lucian Bute, and Bika, and possibly Andrade Dan... 10-20-2009, 01:17 AM **** i was spot on with my prediction. I'm half way through watching AA-Taylor and I've got Froch-Dirrell at home ready to be watched. The general concensus seems to be that Dirrell should have got the decision, but it was always going to be tough fighting in the UK. How can you not have been looking forward to this tournament? This tournament rules. The 6 best guys going at it - awesome stuff. I don't think Kessler-Froch will be that great a fight to be honest - Kess should have way too much. There is not a single thing that Froch does better than Kessler IMO. I like the 6 guys that are in there. I think they are all top quality and there is a good mix in there. boxing_great 10-20-2009, 01:53 AM just cuz theyre both big punchers, but I see Kessler beating Froch. Dan... 10-20-2009, 02:20 AM just cuz theyre both big punchers, but I see Kessler beating Froch. Really, I don't recon they are huge punchers. They ain't feather-fisted thats for sure but they aren't like say an Abraham. I see Kessler winning almost every round against Froch. Froch is pretty tough, so he will probably go the distance but it will be a beatdown I think. Philfy 10-20-2009, 02:21 AM Really, I don't recon they are huge punchers. Dan... 10-20-2009, 02:37 AM and Froch will claim he was robbed by the judges no doubt. He has a mouth on him no doubt. I like guys like Froch though. Extremely limited but tough as nails and makes the most of what he has. Guys like him doing well is part of what makes this sport so great. But yeah, Kessler is giving him a fukn whooping and I'll love every minute of it. boxing_great 10-20-2009, 03:06 AM He has a mouth on him no doubt. I like guys like Froch though.
