I think Pacquiao gained even more fans after this losing effort against Erik Morales.

1) We found out that he's not just a one-dimensional wild slugger. Manny showed tremendous boxing skills and abilities throughout the fight.
2) We found out that Manny's chin is as tough as it can be. He took Erik's most vicious shots and he never went down.
3) Manny was all bloodied but he never quit and he even finished stronger than he started.

I know there's a lot of Pac-haters out there but I believe that deep inside, they really don't hate Pacquiao but they hate Pacquiao's nuthuggers. I must admit that I have seen a lot of Pac nuthuggers and for them, Pac could even knock out Mike Tyson. There's a big difference between a fan and a nuthugger and I'm definitely a fan with a rational perspective about my fighter.

Hat's off to Erik for this victory but for me, Pacquiao's victory came in the respect department.

Erik said he wanted to punish Pacman. Erik was concentrating on the cut near the eye. But he couldn't KD Pac. Morales proved he can win on points, but that's all.

I think Manny should stay at 126 division and clean it up and make it his home.

I dont hate pacman I have always liked him since his debut but freddie roach and anyone who talks for him are ****ing ******s they need to let manny talk for himself before he loses my respect manny is such a nice humble guy he seems like the type of person you see and would want to hug cause hes a nice guy i felt like hugging him after the fight morales too showed respect h taunted in the middle of the fight but at the end showed much respect. pacman needs a new trainer / promoter.

Freddy Roach is cool and all though it seemed during the Marquez and this fight, he just couldn't get into Manny's head. Maybe it was the atomsphere, I don't though Manny wasn't listening too well. His promoter needs to go to hell like right now before he sabotages anymore of Manny's fights and myself as a rational Manny fan, I give my hats off to both. I really respect Morales for slugging and trading like in every round and showing that he can give the fans what they want even if it means putting himself in danger. Loved his 12th rd southpaw stance =p Manny on the other hand gave me awhole new outlook on the meaning, never surrender.

Roach is a great trainer it and Pac showed lots of new things against Morales, he just got beat plain and simple. Pac will take JMM out i think if and when there is a rematch.

That was a great fight and there should be no controversy nor excuses. Things always happens for reasons . . . Pac lost because it was meant to be that way. :)

My hats off to both for that performance. Morales stick to the fight plan and delivered thus the VICTORY.

For Pac, he showed the world what kind of heart he has and probably will get more respect from a lot of quarters next time he climbs the ring.

Great Fight. Entertaining all the way.
No excuses. Erik won that one.
But I agree, both fighters' stock rose in that fight.
Manny is maturing as a fighter. He will be back as
a more experienced warrior in his nest fight !

Even though I hate Morales he fought a good fight

Pacquiao showed lots of heart

I thought they were gonna stop the fight on cuts in the 5th round and my heart nearly stopped

If Pacquiao beats Marquez, there better be a rematch!
It's great to see all the Morales-Pacquiao fans getting along now....and it's good to see the pacquiao "nuthuggers" stay here

lol

Go Pacquiao!

i really dont think he gained any fans form this
he might have lost some
he just wasnt really in the fight
morales was playin with him
the only thing that coulda got him more fans
is that he stayed in thier

If he didn't want no more, why did he continue and actually fought hard

Anyone who thinks Pac was thinking of quitting is a fool. He had rough spots but so did Morales. Look at the 12th round for those of you disrepsectful "fans" who think Pac was anything close to a quitter.

Nah he definately didnt want to quit
thats bull****
But I do think he got discouraged when Morales showed him whasup
Pac just created a triangle between him, Barrera and Morales
These guys can continue to go at it and still create classic fights
