View Full Version : Question to the Pac fans
I didnt see the fight but I picked Morales by KO because I thought that Pac looked one dementional against Marquez but I hear that he fought like a true soldier.
My question is what happened and do you think that he really lost. Or I should say, do any of you think that he won the fight?
julDilla 03-20-2005, 01:15 AM i was talking to chups, he accepted the defeat and just said congrats, but mad respect for pacquiao for hanging on till the end
AintGottaClue 03-20-2005, 01:15 AM np excuses tonight pacfans now he lost, kinda liek in-jin-chi/morales fight where it was a war but we know who the winner was, but better
JOM'S 03-20-2005, 01:17 AM only seen the fight true webcam, so i could not asses how it go, but i think EM used his size advantage to the hilt and took PACs best punches..
AznAssassin 03-20-2005, 01:17 AM <~~ pac fan...But it was very clear that he lost. He was getting caught way to much by Eric and Manny's defense was not so great. Eric's style just doesn't work well with mannys..Both have VERY good chins though.

SuckaPunch 03-20-2005, 01:18 AM I'm one of the biggest Pacquiao fan in here and I have two words for y'all...PACQUIAO LOST.
He did lose the fight and was outboxed by Morales but Pacquiao showed that he was not one-dimentional(by showing his boxing skills and great combinations) and that he has a tremendous chin(by taking the best of Morales' shots and never went down).
Too bad, Merchant brought up the question about the gloves because I'm 100% positive that Manny wouldn't bring it up if it wasn't asked.
And I agree with most of the fans here, Merchant was a little bit biased about the fight. By the 8th round, I wanted to turn off the television but Merchant's comments made me believe that the fight was close and Pacquiao still has a chance to win by decision(although he doesn't).
I scored it just like Lederman 116-112.
jpboxer3 03-20-2005, 01:21 AM No excuses,Morales was the bettter man tonight.I think Pac should go back to 126 and cleanup the division but first settle unfinish business against JMM.
Credit to Morales for proving that he wasn't washed up.I'd love to see him fight Corrales if Castillo fails to take care of business in May.
ClydeErwinBarretto 03-20-2005, 01:21 AM PAC lost, no excuses either, Reyes gloves or not. He just did not have any gas after the first few rounds. He really did take some bombs from MORALES as well. But his gameplan went to $#!*s. When PAC was interviewed in the end he just looked...eh, well not devastated but down. He said he'd do a rematch but MORALES is the man to execute it and he said that would depend on what the people want.
My question is to everyone on here, should a rematch come out of this fight? I hope so...in the future.
julDilla 03-20-2005, 01:23 AM no pacman fan should be ashame losing to a better man

Chups 03-20-2005, 01:30 AM NO Excuses, Pac lost!! Like I said.....Morales team came with the better plan...I don't even think there should be a rematch unless he beats both Barrera and Marquez in a convincing fashion.
Morales has mad boxing skillz.
First i want to apologize too riz for not being able to webcam the fight for him i wathced i t a t friends house sor oorry many
2nd can you guys beleive the balls on the 12th round.
the gloves should not be an excuse cause if the gloves were that gay morales would have kod pacman.
glitxbs 03-20-2005, 01:40 AM i'm a pacfan. morales was simply the better fighter tonight. no excuses there. Morales indeed got a close but pretty convincing victory.
pac should beat barrera and jmm convincingly to even start thinking about a rematch with morales.
so far, the only people talking about the gloves are Morales fans.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! I kinda noticed that. :D
Well, I hear alot of people saying that Morales had the better game plan and that he outboxed Pac and Pac didnt know what to do after the first few rounds. That sounds like he was one dementional again but I heard a Pac fan say that he wasnt.
So was he one dementional or not?
yeah that **** was something bull**** to say from merchant man freddie roach was all up on merchants nutz man i love pacman and his style and what he brings but roach made him look bad
i think he was his right did nothing to morales(one dimensional) ofcourse he threw the right but it had nothing on it his left was his main cheese though. morales blocked almost all of his powershots with his face lol. that fools a warrior.
JOM'S 03-20-2005, 01:54 AM dont forget the sig and avatar bet we had :D
WTF that's in PACLAND ...
what do you what me to put up ...
JOM'S 03-20-2005, 01:59 AM i was happy that the fight when the full route and was not stopped because of cuts...
ClydeErwinBarretto 03-20-2005, 02:08 AM To be honest, I'm not sure. After watching the fight I was kind of disappointed in how PAC boxed. Like I've probably mentioned a million times already, he looked like he was out of gas after the third of fourth round. He'd come in with a few jabs pressing MORALES back and hit a one or or start a few combos and all of a sudden...STOP. He didn't keep following up. That practically happened in almost every round. Build something up then stop. Then all of a sudden start moving back which worked for MORALES' plan quite well.
But whether he was technically one dimensional or not? He did seem to be throwing more right hooks and etc but he needed to throw more uppercuts when they got in close.

Yea, i noticed Pac looked tired in the third and fourth round, he did not follow up, GREAT FIGHT though, PACMAN forever.
nelsoncm 03-20-2005, 02:22 AM Three things I proved tonight:
Manny can't fight going backwards, and;
Morales has a granite chin and versatile as ever.
Both have a long career to go.
