Morales fought a smart fight... and it was clearly shown who was the bigger fighter... Props to Manny for showing heart.. I think Manny must fight at 126... he looked much slower than usual.. Morales looked great and fought brilliantly.. what a fight... FOTY?????

Pac now has something to prove against Morales and Marquez. His loss to Morales also seems to suggest there might have something to Barrera's "excuses".

Manny proved he's top-tier, based on his performances gainst the top three Mexicans, but Morales really showed what a tough guy with excellent boxing skills will do to an opponent with lesser skills.

Manny has no reason to hold his head low, he's show us all that he's got heart. But, does he have a mandatory rematch with Erik?

So much for Roach's plans to expose Morales "soft" body. Pac probably would have chopped-down most guys with some of those rib shots. But, Erik is one Mexican that had more downstairs than Roach expected.

I never **** talked but am a fan of PAC. I obviously do admit defeat. I sort of saw it coming maybe after the fourth round, even before that head butt. I can for some odd reason just tell PAC was not going to or be able to do what it was going to take to get a win of MORALES.

It stunk, but still a fun fight. The ARCE/HUSSIEN fight was fun too.

my one in only is:

never, ever underestimate the heart of a champion.

Especially if that champion is a born warrior.

Especially if that warrior is from Mexico.

Especially if that Mexican was raised in one of the toughest sections of Tijuana.

Especially if that Tijuanan was born in a boxing gym.

this fight made a lot of mexicans happy. except those who put their bets on Pac. the odds on Pac was heavy, meaning not only filipinos were betting on him. so i can say some mexicans lost their money on Pac too.

but i want Manny to fight JMM or MAB before a rematch with EM.

Whan I mean close I mean 2 rounds. No I'm sorry I didn't see a blow out like you. I've already acknowledged that Morales won, but you seem to be having a hard time acknowledging that Pac put on a good close enough fight. But hey, that's you. And also Morales is the f***** man, he went southpaw at the end just to give us a show because he knew he had it won, what a man. I figured Pac man couldnt knock him out, he has a chin of steel. I respect Pac for his performance but im starting to dislike Roach, your man can't knock Morales out, give it up.

As much as i loved this fight, FOTY has to be given to Arce and HusseinI second that, there were times where I would look away from the screen cause it was just brutal. As for the main event, it pretty much played out how I thought it would not that I didn't envision a winning scenario for Pac. I have to raise these questions again just how good is Barrera, Morales and JMM(who I think is the best amongst the featherweights and I'll definitely give him all the props if he ever faces Raheem and beats him decisively)but these guys who alot of fans consider world-class are given problems from a guy who is about as sloppy as those Mixed Martial art guys in their punching and boxing technique, I mean no doubt in my mind Morales and JMM won convincingly but it wasn't a walk in the park. I mean this kid started his career at 106lbs. That is like De La Hoya being competitive in the 160lbs. division and we all know he couldn't even dominate Felix Sturm just who the hell is Felix Sturm, and De La Hoya has alot more going for him in terms of athletic ability compared to Pac.

i thought it was mismatch, Manny got dominated the whole fight, he haD HIS moments where he threw some flurries and power punches but Morales dictated the whole fight. The announcers were givng to much credit to Pacman because Morales critized the whole HBO crew for "making Barrera look like a star which he isnt"

Pac had his chance and he did stun Morales but Morales brought his A game and flat out won. Pac could win he won alot of rounds but after round 4 it was fewer and fewer. If there is a rematch i would expect it to be even more of a war. Best of luck to both fighters.

I went fishing.

I did not watch the fight. I docked at PT.Mansfeld and went back to shore to get bait. I asked the guy behind the counter of the store: "Did you happen to watch PPV boxing yesterday?". He looked at me with discontent; and said: "Ive been working for 2 days straight. I havent seen anything but this cash register.". Knowing my only chance to avoid hours of suspense,

was to simply ask anyone and everyone. Luckily a younger couple was entering the same store: I asked the repeat question. The first word he said was "Decision"

I had to ask who won. My suspicions were correct.

Que Viva Mexico!

Morales won by outboxing Manny. It was a great great fight and I had no favorite going into the fight. I have to say that Manny had Morales hurt more than Morales had Manny hurt. Morales was a blow or two from going down both in the 1st and 12th rounds. They both have incredible chins.

Nobody has said anything about this, but it needs to be discussed. I honestly think the cut had a major impact on the fight. I'm not taking anything form Morales, he fought like a warrior and he deserved the victory plain and simple. Having said that, if that clash of heads doesn't cause that cut I think Manny fights the later rounds a little better. Not saying he woulda won, but it kinda sucks when a fight like this gets tainted when one guy isn't 100%.

The gloves wouldn't have made much of a difference, with exception that both fighters would have been hurt a whole lot more than they were. Morales probably goes down in the 1st with the punchers gloves, but he woulda got up and KO'd Manny with some of those clean shots in rounds 5-11.

Great fight......best PPV card I've seen in a long time. Even Erik Morel stood toe to toe and threw some leather.

Mad props to Arce and Hussein, definitely my early fav for FOTY.

Manny showed the whole world the Heart of a wounded warrior! The courage and pride of a Filipino! Morales won the fight fair and square. I was amazed with Morales chin he took all of the best punches of Manny. Morales got hurt on the 12th round but escape the fury of Mannys punches with style. This fight deserves a rematch!

Manny Paquiao fought his ass off and showed great heart, but “El Terrible” was too much for him. His strength advantage was very apparent early on and his technical advantages proved to be a killer for Pac-man. In my opinion, Morales gave Pacquiao a Boxing lesson Saturday night at the Grand Garden Arena. As it turns out, this bout won’t be fight of the year as a lot of us expected, but it might well be the performance of the year by Erik “El Terrible” Morales. Going into this fight, I picked Manny Pacquiao to win this fight. I figured his power would be too much for Morales. Boy was I wrong! I couldn’t be more impressed with Morales. Congratulations to both men for putting on a great show and once again prove that we don’t need any damn Heavyweights. The action is down below with the men of little stature but huge heart.
