Is there any 70's and 80's Salsa fan here? If anyone replies or is interested, I'll give you a list with some artists.

Damn right! Frankie Ruiz is my favorite Salsa singer of all time. But old school Salsa is much more than that. 70's giants who also play Jazz like Ray Barreto, Charlie Palmieri, and Eddie Palmieri. Out of Cuba, I love Irakere. Do you like these artists? By the way, where are you really from and how did you get to listen to Frankie Ruiz?

I mostly listen to Rap and Reggaeton, the Spanish artist I listen to most are:

i do like these artist , and talkin about old school , i like SON from cuba too (compay secundo for example).

and i m really french , i am born from colombian father and french mother , from it comes my taste for latin music , and boxing.

I'm just antisicpating Trinidads move to a 4th weight divsion...comparing him to Duran, like people look at Hagler to Hopkins, just two good fighters.

Cocolo in here...I like songs from that best: Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Ismael Rivera, El Gran Combo, Lalo Rodriguez, Roberto Roena, Ruben Blades, etc.

From the 80's I like Frankie Ruiz, Lalo, Edie Santigo, Luis Enrique, etc...

i llike willie colon , i m more skeptical about marc anthony.

i see him as the latino madonna , for the following reason :

-he is not a great songwritter neither a great singer

-he is a great professional , and he surrounds him with the best musicians in the business.

i recently watched his madison square garden show and that was just it ,top professional but lacked latin "chispa".
