If anyone replies or is interested, I'll give you a list with some artists. tino 03-19-2005, 08:25 PM i like salsa , but colombian and cuban more than boricua. i assume youre into frankie ruiz ? i like cumbia bachata and ranchera too. and merengue and reggaeton are welcome too. Exciterx24 03-20-2005, 01:00 AM Damn right! Frankie Ruiz is my favorite Salsa singer of all time. But old school Salsa is much more than that. 70's giants who also play Jazz like Ray Barreto, Charlie Palmieri, and Eddie Palmieri. Out of Cuba, I love Irakere. Do you like these artists? By the way, where are you really from and how did you get to listen to Frankie Ruiz? IwatchBoxing 03-20-2005, 06:11 AM I mostly listen to Rap and Reggaeton, the Spanish artist I listen to most are: Marc Anthony, Jerry Rivera, Fulanito, Celia Cruz (I live in Miami :D ), Tito Puente ect. Daddy Yankee- Barrio Fino, Zion Y Lennox, Don Omar and all dat good **** IwatchBoxing 03-21-2005, 08:58 PM what the hells that sig mean? are they gonna fight? I'm just antisicpating Trinidads move to a 4th weight divsion...comparing him to Duran, like people look at Hagler to Hopkins, just two good fighters. borikua 03-21-2005, 09:08 PM Cocolo in here...I like songs from that best: Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Ismael Rivera, El Gran Combo, Lalo Rodriguez, Roberto Roena, Ruben Blades, etc. From the 80's I like Frankie Ruiz, Lalo, Edie Santigo, Luis Enrique, etc... 90's - Gilberto Santarosa and Mark Anthony... tino 03-21-2005, 09:34 PM i llike willie colon , i m more skeptical about marc anthony. i see him as the latino madonna , for the following reason : -he is not a great songwritter neither a great singer -he is a great professional , and he surrounds him with the best musicians in the business. i recently watched his madison square garden show and that was just it ,top professional but lacked latin "chispa". abdiel2k3 03-21-2005, 09:42 PM I'm just antisicpating Trinidads move to a 4th weight divsion...comparing him to Duran, like people look at Hagler to Hopkins, just two good fighters. ok u think hes moven to super middle? borikua 03-21-2005, 09:46 PM ok u think hes moven to super middle? Yep, he said so, he wants to be the first PR to win titles in 4 dif divisions.. borikua 03-21-2005, 09:53 PM If you want some good old Salsa songs, get these: Hector Lavoe - El Dia de mi Suerte Hector Lavoe - Calle Luna, Calle Sol Hector Lavoe - Mi Gente Ismael Rivera - Las Tumbas Ismael Rivera - Caras Lindas Ruben Blades - Plastico Ruben Blades - Padre Antonio Gran Combo - Hojas Blancas Roberto Roena - Mi desengaņo Hector Lavoe - Timbalero Exciterx24 03-21-2005, 10:05 PM Old School Eddie Palmieri is as good as it gets. |
