Let me just get to the point. They had a thread in which someone was critcizing Greg Leon (rightfully so in my opinion) and later on in the thread I made the statement that Boxingscene is better (for a couple of a reasons) and I was banned. Coincidence? I think not.

********** can't handle the criticism I guess. Really I didn't even criticize them, I just talked about how Boxingscene was better. ********** is starting to get gestapo like that Nazi Icheehuahua and his Maxboxing site.

I don't know; I post on a few sites and moderate on one of them. Its just not good practice to openly badmouth the site you're on and suggest that members join an alternative site. Its natural that this would be frowned upon. However, some site owners / moderators are more touchy than others, I've heard similar of BT. BTW, Ichee is long gone from maxboxing.

mate to be honest im not surprised, what ive come to realise is that the internet perpetuates some of the politics that are involved in the sport.
Old rivalries re-surface, niggles and past fueds can manifest as people are behined pc's and feel much safer in airing their views than they would face to face or over a phone.

Personally i wouldnt say anything to anyone via the intennet i wouldnt be willing to say to their faces, sometimes its better just to take a deep breath think **** it who cares, they are just sad little people hanging on to their own little peice of internet power. Which in the great scheme of things is **** all and it will only diminish if they keep that stance on things.


Stick with the decent sites and dont get too despondent bro! Channel your energy into somink worthwile.

e.g. moi, since ive stopped postng so much i do more writing, something that is having a positive impact, 1. for the site i write for, 2 for the fighter involved and 3 for the game. Im covering a fight on weds next week and have set up an interview with a well known birtish boxing promoter for next week too, all because im filling the time more productively. Not engagin in bull**** rows and taking time over whom i respond to and about what.

I was a member there after gettng tired of chee's nonsense at maxboxing...I didn't know boxingscene had anything but videos until recently. That's all I used to come here for then I saw the good message boards.

both BT and maxboxing are stupid.... they both charge a fee, they both have A-hole writers, they both favor certain fighters, they both THINK they're the best sites on the net...

********** is GARBAGE. They *****ed to Larry over at ************* and said they would sue the web site if its members didn't stop posting there articles.

And you hit it right on the head the second you say somnething other than ********** is the greatest web site on the planet you get banned.

The only they get is good video interviews, but that can only take you so far.

maxboxing is top for videos , that is for sure , and the articles range from average to very good , except for michael katz who IMO think he is a boxing godfather but hasnt wrote something good in years.


as for forums , boxingscene is the best ? rick does a great job , he kicks the right people out and the posters here for the most part really cool guys .

Ya Katz died. Its very sad buisness and what not, he was an excellent writter.

As far as poster volume and compatability. I would have to say this is the best boxing site I have ever posted on. Intelligent groupings of people, and I like everyone. Even people who lay bear traps in the lounge sections, and those who use "Pacmans" scrotum bag as a facetowel.

Boxing Talk harasses the fighters into doing interviews, their a bunch of douches. I feel ashamed I ever gave them my hard earned money.

i think g. leon is a dick riding fool that dont know **** about boxing. i used to visit that site all the time. but i got tired of reading his biased articles on the fighters that promote his site or that show up on his mailbags. lately alot of people have began to call him out on that. when they call him out he will answer there other ?'s and ignore what they just asked him. thats how i found boxingscene. i was looking for something that isnt full of ****.

Your a stupid ****. First you steal content after that site hooked you up with autographed stuff. Secondly you cant even ****ing spell cory spinks name. Third your a fake ass hacker.

Boxing is not that big of a sport right now. Bandwidth costs money and as even Rick can attest too. That dont come too cheap.
How many sites have you been to that have shyt loads of pop ups or a donations screen to pay for thier bandwidth. Think about why boxingscene or ********* dont charge for memberships. Its mainly photos and articles. No Videos. when you add up 10MB videos streaming to 500 people it adds up.

Homie...I'm the only one that has the ability to ban people at **********...and I don't recall banning anyone for saying anything about Boxingscene. That just sounds ridiculous. If that were the case, I'd use some type of word censor to prevent people from typing the name Boxingscene...kind of like ********boxing substitutes ********** with the word Butttalk.vomit (or something childish like that).

Honestly, we have no problem with people coming onto the boards and talking about other sites. Boxingscene is a great source for downloading copyrighted material...but as far as content goes, I don't think they or any of the other sites can touch our content. So really, feel free to talk about the other sites on our boards.

I don't even recall banning anyone that goes by the name of Super_Lightweight. The only person I've banned recently was an individual who made racist statements.
