Thought I'd recreate a classic thread. I'm looking to get into a bit more literature so thought you guys could help out, even though this lounge seems a bit inactive now.

So recommend some classic literature, modern novels, comics.... whatever!

I'll be honest and admit I've never read any manga, the closest I've ever been was when I considered buying Akira (if that counts).

Recommend some and I'll give it a go :)

I personally like DragonBall, DragonBall Z, Initial D, Ranma 1/2 and Love Hina.

Does it have mature themes or is it just like the cartoon stuff?

And has anyone ever read Atlas, Shrugged?

Well DragonBall and DragonBall Z are what the catoons are based off. And I guess Ranma 1/2 and Love Hina do have mature themes in them.

Try "Night" by Ellie Wiesel, its about being a jew during the Holocaust. Pretty good short book.
