10 cups of water a day
PAC-MANIA 10-07-2009, 12:45 AM i checked a calorie counter online and it says 1 hour of doing that stationary bike thingy burns 1000 calories....i consume somewhere between 2000-2500 calories/day

Just because you hit 16 mph at least once while your biking dosnt mean that your averaging 16 mph's. which is about how fast you would need to go for the entire 60 mins if you want to burn 1000 calories depending on your weight. though it dosnt really matter to me since im not the one thinking im burning 400 more calories then i really am.
try mixing in some sit ups/crunches with the biking like do 20 mins then 3 sets of 20 crunches like 1 set of leg lifts 1 set of obliques and 1 set of normal crunches then another 20 on the bike and repeat the sit ups.
copelahama 10-07-2009, 02:58 AM you need to run
Domey 10-07-2009, 08:02 AM You are not doing near enough to burn that much weight "quick". Secondly, you are stuffing red meat as your dinner, which is not the best to be eating.
If you are going to eat, eat right. It is better to eat good proportions, then to eat small ones throughout the day. When you eat, eat, and do not eat until your next meal. Don't snack, drink healthy stuff(Water, water, water). You'll find when you do work out, even though you have ate more, that you are actually feeling better during your work out, and cutting more weight. You might have to add a pound or two during the day, but at the end of a proper workout, you can find yourself cutting 4-5 lbs easily.
I would also stay away from the weights if you are going to try and lose weight. Weights add muscle, muscle weighs more then fat. Increase your cardio if anything. Running, shadow boxing, skip rope, speed bag, heavy bag, ect. Stay away from your red meats. Eat chicken, it's great for you (Dont batter it up and fry it and whatever else. Bake it, plain).
Lay off the chicken noodle soup as well. It contains about 5 grams of fat per can, and is loaded with sodium(Dehydrates you, not the best of things for someone who is trying to work on cardio).
For breakfest try a can of tuna(That's right, right out of the can! Drain the water first though =D). Make sure you get the low fat kind, and make sure its in water, not oil. Along with that you can make two hard boiled eggs and some DRY toast. Add some water or a glass of OJ if you want. After you eat, digest and relax a bit, then go for your morning run.
Do not eat again until gym time. About two before make a good little chicken meal. I use to eat tons of chicken and rice and I found some gravy mix that had no fat in it. Didn't taste the best but it made the chicken not so dry(I boil the chicken, cut it into small cubes, toss it in a pan and drop the gravy in and heat it all up. Mix it in with the rice). You'll find you have tons more energy for your work out.
For supper, I wouldn't eat nothing big, and if you do eat, you should eat within the hour of getting home since your body is still burning off calories and what not.
When I train for fights, I eat 2 meals a day, and here and there I may have something small for supper, but that is about it.
Goodluck.

2- 2.5 lbs a week is the most you should be trying to lose. At your goal of 60 lbs., you would be looking at 24 weeks or around 6 months to safely lose that weight.
If you are excercising regularly, you need to up your intake considerably. you are not eating enough calories
