Great card with Bibi vs Takaya being a def FOTY candidate. I think Takaya should have gotten the decision though. Glad to see Aoki get the belt too :D

Saku has always been my all time favorite MMA fighter but I feel that Mr. Hollywood Rubin is going to give him a worse beating than Wandy ever did.

Well while you certainly were incorrect, Rubin did have the tools to knock him out standing but Sakuraba put on a jui jitsu clinic and locked on his signiture kimura

fernandes is a world champ in jiu-jitsu, Kid isn't. thats pretty much what it came down to. when kid fought warren, he didn't take advantage of a couple of subs that were there. i swear at one point, warren practically fell into a triangle and kid couldn't capitalize on it.

Yeah it was a simple clash of styles. Against Kid Warren was able to outwork Yamamoto with his superior wrestling, which is Kid's base style as well (although Warren is a greco world champ whereas Kid is predominantly a freestyle wrestler). Fernandes though was able to capitalize on Warren's lack of submission grappling skills.
Had the fight gone on Warren may have had a chance, however he was caught early and dry. But then, it is also quite likely that this fight was over before it began.
I hope Warren can tighten up his game. He's got real potential to be something if he can seal up the holes in his game.

I don't think I want to imagine that, it would've been like Mercer/Sylvia reborn.
