View Full Version : B.Hop & ODLH Are Buddies
jabsRstiff 11-23-2004, 07:55 AM Awwwww......that's nice.
I really believe the night of September 18th was a lovefest.
From the cautious sparring, to the arm punch KO....love was in the air.
Nobody got hurt, in any way....& some just got wealthier.
I'm glad to see millionaires helping out millionaires.
WinkyFan 11-23-2004, 08:34 AM I personally think it's all part of trying to promote another fight that nobody wants to see. I don't discount that they do really get along it just seems a little strange. They both made alot of money off each other and if they could do that again i'm sure they would but as i fan i for one would certainly not want to see it. I got the impression that they were both at the Winky fight to see him in action and decide who will fight him. Winky wants the big fights and Oscar and Bernard are two of his many targets. Winky needs to get Tito out of the way first.
jabs, are you disappointed in your boy from philly being all buddy/buddy with de la homo?
jabsRstiff 11-23-2004, 08:41 AM Guru.....
No....I just think a lot of people paid a lot of money on September 18th, & got shortchanged.
Not saying there was any underhanded stuff....just that on a night when two guys should have been putting it all on the line, the public instead was given an EXERCISE.
This little union confirms it for me.
DAM jabs, you got 1,400 posts in a short amount of time... get chin's ass over here posting

Why, so the little ***** can help ruin another boxing forum ?
He's a Korean cancer.
lol, yea....
this little union between oscar and nard is BS..... oscar has punked out, even on the front page arum is saying that hispanics feel he quit.... i would not doubt oscar going back to 147 and beating zab and spinks, although forrest, if he ever fights again, can possibly give oscar alot of trouble...
The1God 11-23-2004, 01:12 PM I bet they were blowing each other before Oscar took the dive. Those two looked as close as Kerry and Edwards. My question is which one plays the *****? Or do they take turns.

LOL... would u really wanna know  ewwwl.
The1God 11-23-2004, 01:24 PM Well, I know they went out for drinks and at the bar, Bhop asked DLH (when he was sitting) if he could push in his stool..... Now we know what he was refering too. ewwwww
DLH always looked like he played for both teams.
Xecutioner 11-23-2004, 02:24 PM they both made each other millions why wouldnt they be buddies  :D
like the way MAB and morales are buddies after all the money they're going to make after 3 fights?
The1God 11-23-2004, 03:22 PM they both made each other millions why wouldnt they be LOVERS  :D
No reason, it is just like when B.Hop was in prison, now he has DLH to be his ***** or visa-versa.

More of a B.Hop stab than a DLH but hey whatever floats your boat.
Xecutioner 11-23-2004, 03:55 PM just keep bring teh funny! i <3 forum comedians
Deejay 11-23-2004, 06:15 PM This thread's pretty hilarious..hehehe..but you know what would be even more hilarious? If everyone in the above posts had the guts to actually go up to either one of them and say it to their faces. It'd probably be the last thing you ever did before you died. Can you imagine going up to THE EXECUTIONER or THE GOLDEN BOY and saying: "Excuse me, even though you guys are happily married, I think you's are both ****ing ******s!!" Can you imagine the following bloodfest?
So they get on, outside the ring..who the **** cares? That's their business..as long as they keep fighting, it's good for the sport, right?

how can you make fun of Hopkins
Argentina 11-23-2004, 08:39 PM are you trying to insinuate that De la hoya took a dive, like so many other people do? That's ridiculous. IT was aa fight of skill and no determined outcome by any means. If you haven't taken a kindey punch, then one shouldn't talk.
Argentina 11-23-2004, 08:45 PM exactly. I don't see why poeple have to try and see a conspiracy or evil intentions behind this.
plexmc 11-24-2004, 04:29 AM thats real talk

Nice response....for someone in the third grade.
"Go say that to their faces"...give me a break.
I am a huge Hopkins fan actually. I live in Philadelphia, & attended the parade the city held in his honor, back in the beginning of October.
My problem isn't with him, it's with that fraud, Oscar. the one who quit in one of the most EXPENSIVE fights in history.

Hopkins and DLH are both world class fighters, or at least they were. I respect your views on B.Hop and DLH. I also agree with about your comment about DLH quitting in such a high profile fight. But on the other hand, Hopkins has looked far better against others. He could have done more, its not his fault that DLH quit. But it makes you wonder if they had talked about teaming up before the fight. No so much as fixing the fight, just discussed the after options. It would be nice if Benard retired on top, became a decent promotor and got this sport going again.
realtim 11-24-2004, 11:22 AM The fight wasnt fixed. Oscar just has a week heart as well as his kidney been weak. Hopkins was just starting to really getting to him. They might not have looked like wild power shots but they were getting to Oscar. Bernard has such good physical strength.

Oscar knew it and he knew he was in over his head and quit.

Who knows? I will say this, the round before the 9th Bernard Hopkins for the first time since his fight with Jones in 93 did not know weather he was winning or losing, I had him up by 2 going into the last round but had the fight gone on and carried the same tune the rest of the way everyone on this site would have been eagerly anticipating who was going to get the nod. Oscar was certainly not outclassed had been barely hit in the fight (trouble was he had barely hit Hopkins either)so I don't know if I can say he was over his head, it wasn't like he ran from Bernard, Hopkins gave Oscar a lot of respect in there, especially for a guy who has no punch at middleweight. Too suggest a fix or something a long the lines that they were in business together is for conspiracy theorists.
