ZaneTeal 03-16-2005, 03:31 PM Best of the best
Chin- Kassim Ouma. The man in 100% unbreakable. Gt slammed by one of the hardest non-heavyweight hitters & came away smiling. Outstanding.
Punch- Felix Trinidad. So smooth, precise, & powerful. He has the power & technique to be called the best puncher in boxing.
Handspeed- (tie) Floyd Mayweather/Manny Pacquiao. As a matter of fact, chances are that most of both of these guys' power comes from the fact that they hit at about 300 MPH.
Stamina- Ouma. Routinely throws about 1100 punches a fight without breathing hard. Name another that can do that.
Anyone wanna name any more categories?
Heart: Gatti. He is a Human Punching bag that keeps coming foward and punches back. But you can hurt him.
Chin: McCullough. He is a human punching bag that punches back.
Speed: Byrd. He is really fast. It wears and tears on his opponents.
Power: Trinidad. He has too much power in either hand.
Stamina: JLC. He is like an android. If fights were 25 rounds in length, he would peak around the 20th round. Pretty impressive workrate for a guy who enters every one of his fights "shorthanded".....BS.

ZaneTeal 03-16-2005, 04:02 PM Deuskie, I'm trying to think of topics that'll stop everyone from creating threads every time a question pops into their head. I like this forum & the people on it, but we have WAAAAAAY too many threads, a great deal of which ask the same questions or relate to one another.
PessimisticPug 03-16-2005, 04:03 PM Heart: Gatti
Chin: McCullough
Speed: Byrd
Power: Trinidad
Resistance to Cuts: Gatti (j/k)
Stamina: JLC. He is like an android.
Thats a good list Runsw/knives. Wasnt McCullough suspended for a time for faily to pass cat scans, it keeps popping up in my mind. And as far as the boxer with the greatest power, easily it would have to be our friendly poster Cre_ace on the forum. I quote here, "I'm a monster my friend, 6'3", 240 lbs of pure power and speed.........I would knock you out with a mean uppercut.....I doubt your power could faze me." He would not only knock me out but he would knock anybody out in the world I am sure. I may have to contend that he also has the greatest chin in the world. Not to mention the best looking 6 pack of a gut in the world as well. :) ..........Rockin'
AintGottaClue 03-16-2005, 04:39 PM chin vitali klitshcko cause he fights with heavywieghts imo
jack_the_rippuh 03-16-2005, 04:43 PM Ouma has tasted canvas before and he's been stopped. What's so great about his chin? Is it just because he destroyed Jantuah?

the guy had never been knocked down
not until he took 8 rounds of an assault from the deadliest puncher in the game and even then he did'nt go down because of his chin, it was a body shot
the guy had never been knocked down
How many big punchers has he faced besides Tito though?
Lewis yes.

Lewis yes.
the rest of my post was really the most important part of why he has a granite chin knives....lol
it does'nt matter how many big punchers he's faced, you only need to take a ****load of punishment from one puncher to show that you can take a shot. not to mention it was TITO :D

well theirs been guys that have lasted longer against tito
guys that have taken him the distance
does that mean their chins better
puppy_dogg 03-16-2005, 05:03 PM well theirs been guys that have lasted longer against tito
guys that have taken him the distance
does that mean their chins better
it means that they are much more skilled and better boxers
mayorga is a pretty easy target cause his style
name one other fighter that could stand with trinidad for 8 rounds using mayorga's style.
the rest of my post was really the most important part of why he has a granite chin knives....lol
I was merely curious, thats all. I know he lets his hands down, and takes alot of shots and definitely should be considered one of the best at taking punches. But if you look at boxing as a whole, there are other guys who have never been knocked down or out let along been in serious trouble in a fight. Namely McCullough and McCall. People use their heads as punching bags...maybe they get hurt, but do not show it.

Arguably the three best counterpunchers in boxing as well.
All three use effective punches off the back foot, or in a circling fashion.

Handspeed - Tye Fields
