They made alot Lewis,Holyfield etc.. but nothing compared to Tyson. Tyson Lewis is the highest grossing fight in boxing history. Tyson Holyfield was the highest grossing fight in boxing history. Tyson had several fights that broke records for highest grossing events.

Not anymore, he would struggle to get over a million now with his career in tatters. not really win or lose people want to see him fight, he made 8 million from his last fight, Tyson was also in jail think about the money he could of made if he didnt go to jail

fair point. But pity its the non hardcore boxing fraternity that pay to see this guy fight. Most non boxing fans would choose a Tyson v Neilsen fight over Pacman Morales this week.

it was tyson's enigmatic character that made him $$$ not his fighting skills.

[QUOTE=kapersky]how much did he make and from who/how/where?

I was refering to any individual involved in boxing including non boxers.

I would have to agree that DLH is on the top 5. DLH vs Tito was the most sold payperview event other than the heavyweights but the heavyweights lack of a dominant force have drawn fans to the other cats.

non boxing it has to be Don King not only he is involved in most main events but he has been in the business for so long.

Dela Hoya is the richest boxer right now $30,000,000 per fight.

DLH could buy and sell Mike Tyson 3 times, then take him to the pawn shop:

recieve a 10 dollar loan, finance it at 100,000 % apr.....then buy him all over and take him to other Pawn shops.

The promoter gets the most money. That's why Dela Hoya is now a promoter. Even Morales is making small promotions. I just hope Pacquiao will tie up with Roach and become a promoter like Erik.

Yeah I Have To Agree Tyson For Many Years Was Projected To Be The First Athlete To Become A Billionare,(obviously That Didnt Work Out For The Poor Guy)

But I Read Somewhere That Dlh Has Made $200 Million From Being A Boxer, But The Guys Net Wealth Is Currently Around $500 Million.

Tyson and DLH made their money becuase they convinced the non-boxing public that they were great people that happened to be boxers.

There will not be another like them for a while.

Don King in his years of being a promoter has earned the most money in the sport overall.

DLH has the opportunity to be the first athlete billionaire if he becomes the next Don King. Michael Shumacher has the chance to beat him to it though.

So that what undoubtedly makes DLH a rich boxer :)
