Bernard Hopkins' younger nephew Demetrius Hopkins has alot of potential and has just recently been signed by golden boy promotions and given a very good trainer. He is currently undeafeated with something like 17 wins 5 being KOs and he is in the welterweight division. I can see him becoming number one in his division one day.

The 2nd coming of Julian "The Hawk" Jackson is Demetrius Hopkins just look at knockout record 5 kos in 17 fights seems like Golden Boy has a superstar in their hands!!!

He will be lucky to win a WBU World Title

I have to agree with Rudy. I don't think he'd be able to handle top-tier boxers, based on what his record indicates. 5 KO's is not too good.

i've seen him fight. he is pretty good, but i'd figure he'd have more fights by now. he does need more KO power though

Demetrius Hopkins allready had the best trainer/mentor out in Bernard. Bernard demanded that De La Hoya let Demetrius fight on the undercard of the Eastman fight, and will probably continue to do that untill he retires.

Bernard won't be anyone's pawn. That's for sure.

5 kos in 17 fights doesn't sound to great. Although Felix Sturm has a very low knockout percentage and it looks like he can one day be champ in the middleweight division, so we'll see.
