Junito-Rulez 09-30-2009, 06:41 PM Japan's combat sports are more MMA and K1. Leakbeak 10-02-2009, 12:35 AM All I know is that a Jap got robbed at the Olympics by *****s and it wasn't fair. RSBonos 10-02-2009, 02:53 AM Japan's combat sports are more MMA and K1. Boxing is more popular in Japan, Naito-Kameda will get insane ratings. MMA is in danger of leaving network TV and K-1 remains popular but is also scaling back. the_ilest 10-02-2009, 10:54 AM Boxing is more popular in Japan, Naito-Kameda will get insane ratings. All we would do was go to boxing matches, ramen shops, and watch drift racing. Also, arcades very popular overthre still. ironalex 10-02-2009, 12:22 PM very big over there, Teiken Gym is a great gym, Valero, Linares etc train there. Japan makes the brand "Winning" too, you can get it over there cheap, pleaseee get me some haha the best make out there Savino 10-02-2009, 12:26 PM We should look at puttingon some bigfights in Japan in the next few years. Suprised someone like Mayweather never gone over there and tried to make some serious money. The seems to be an awful lot of Japanese Boxing events on Eurosport. w.smith '86 10-03-2009, 09:02 PM If you're looking for venues, both Osaka and Tokyo are pretty good calls. I know Karakuen Hall hosts like 3 fights a week it seems. dionysius 10-06-2009, 02:29 AM pacquiao killed the best of japan. he dedicated it to the comfort women in world war 2 who didn't receive justice until now :lol1::boxing::argue: paulf 10-06-2009, 06:08 PM Thanks for all the tips guys, ironalex - ill get at ya then! Leakbeak 10-06-2009, 06:25 PM There's a gym near funji hiro noodle bar Mistadobalina 10-06-2009, 06:59 PM Japan's combat sports are more MMA and K1. not for a while man. those shows were more spectacles that happen a few times a year (not as much anymore), boxing is still a pretty big deal over there, especially with the reemergence of japanese champs. when pride and k-1 were at their height, they still got beat out by the kameda brothers in ratings. i noticethe mma shows are big events that are glitzy and flashy, but only happen every so often. the boxing events are more subtle, but happen on a very regular basis and have a constant fan base. plus japan has a lot of boxing stables, that have been around for quite some time.
