No, I didn't. I only fought in one tournament, The Diamond Gloves in 2003. I saw Iron Mike at an amateur show in Brick, NJ. I see Lou Duva and Tommy Brooks at like every show. Duva's a little stuck up. I try to talk to him at every show I see him and he ignores me, but Tommy Brooks is always nice to me. I've seen Sean O'Grady, Donald Curry, and Hector-Acero Sanchez. I used to see Arturo Gatti every weekend and this restaurant I worked at in Hoboken called the Malibu. He was always nice to me, even signing me an autograph. That picture is of my trainer, Coach Jimmy Dupree. I'm 18 on the 27th. Next month it will be one year I've been out of the ring. I still keep in shape and I regained all my lost muscle from the car accident. I'm back to running 20 mins. again and have controlled my drinking better and quit smoking black and milds so I should be able to fight in the Summer, which is cool because there is a card a week in NJ. There is only one Armory, The Jersey City Armory. I've had 9 of my 14 fights there. In the basement before the fights, where all the fighters are warming up, I usually entertain all the fighters with a few jokes and **** to lighten the mood. The Armory is cool, but the food is expensive. 2 bucks for a slice of pizza!

In boxing, a fight is won in the corner as much as in the ring. I am getting rid of my troublesome "trainer", Adrianna, and am sort of making as close to a deal with the devil as possible. Thats all that I can say right now. My plan is to get myslef back mentally in the next couple of days, come up with a game plan with my new "team", and win the heart of this girl. I am highly motivated to succeed where in the past I have allowed myself to be defeated in the past. I have galvanized myself with the thought that this is much more than a girl, but THE girl. This is going to be the focal point upon which the rest of my life will turn. It sounds ridiculous, but I liken this situation to my hero Aaron Pryor's 14th round KO of Alexis Arguello. Frozen out for so long by boxing's elite, he finally got his big opportunity and wasn't taking no for an answer. When I was 15, I took a fearsome emotional beating from this girl Melissa, and it took me about 2 years to get my confidence back and nothing is going to stop me. I wish I had a comeback, but that is essentially how it happens. A persistent theme, but I have to try. I have pulled off more dramatic comebacks in my life. I feel that if I do everything I can, that I can pull off this upset. I just need to refocus, be willing to accept the incoming, and get organized. As long as I listen to the advice of my new "advisers", I have faith. And btw, I don't live on the 4th floor. There are only 3 floors to begin with.

It seems strange. I went through mentally what Wladmir Klitschko is going through now in the ring. I just couldn't bring myself. to talk to a girl. I was a mental car wreck. I thought about just destroying myself with booze and just going back into another hibernation, but thought "Let me hang in here, and see what happens". I took a few weeks off of speaking at length to her to regroup and now feel like it is my time. I had to get rid of the unpredictable Adrianna as she was becoming too much of a distraction to me. And plus her negativity was becoming a major downer. I "made a deal with the devil", which is basically I have realligned myself with Blak after a 5 month seperation because I know that even though I can't stand him, he's the only guy who can help me. I seriously hope that I can make it through this one. If there is only one major thing that I succeed in the rest of my life, this is the one I want.

Well, I was friends with this girl for a couple of years before I opened my big mouth. What I mean is that we were friends for a while before I really felt differently about the situation. She said she "didn't like me that way", or whatever, and then that was that for a while. Thing is we were still friends and still hung out quite a bit but over the course of a few months suddenly we were going out, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Hard to say exactly what happened, I guess. I mean, obviously the "hard to get" routine probably played a bit of a factor. Chicks don't like desperation one bit...except maybe those needy ones, but you want to steer clear of that sort of situation. Thing is that even though you're playing cool you still will probably have to manipulate the situation in your favour. If you do everything you can to act cool and avoid you might really lose her. So a little acting and deception will have to come into play, for sure.

Basically for a girl to fall in love with you it seems like you have to give her something that she doesn't have and is looking for. Like, if you make her feel better about herself, you're gold. If you're the kind of person that she would want to be seen with than she'll like you.

I have known this girl for only a week, but I think I'm in love. Her name is Lizeth, she's Japanese-Peruvian, and she works at my job. She's mad cool. For starters, she's very attractive. She has a japanese face with a spanish body. It blows my mind to see a girl who looks japanese speaking fluent spanish. She also has an incredible smile, with buck teeth, which are my weakness. She's only like 5'1 or 5'2, which is awesome because it makes me feel really tall when I'm standing next to her. I'm only 5'6, but I was walking and talking with her and had to bend over to talk to her, which made me feel really special.
Secondly, she's like the female version of me. We're both half asian, she listens to Metal (**** Emo!), plays sports, is antisocial, and her favorite band is KoRn. She only has 2 friends, and they are girls so I don't need to go through her phone book and kill everyone. She likes to oil paint and we both make websites. I can't make this **** up, believe me. She was a backup quarterback for the North Bergen football team, a NJ High School Football dynasty. Yeah well guys have a hard time of knowing how much a girl actually knows about this sort of thing. I find that girls with issues are the only ones that show interest in me. They sort of cling to me and it makes it difficult for me to fall apart because I realize that I have more on my shoulders when they are always on the verge of self destruction.

I refuse to be that cynical. I believe that in life there are essential lessons to learn, and sometimes tuition for those courses is steep. If I am to gain, first I must lose.

My boss told me the thing was probably that she knows how good she looks and wants to be an ******* about it. What he suggested is that I ignore her, and gradually she will either respect me or I will get back my dignity and self-confidence. An issue with me in recent years is that it takes some time to get back to being The Asian Sensation after a girl takes batting practice on my self esteem. I honestly didn't even get a chance to ask her out again. She just sort of don't want to talk to me. I dunno.

I know, but as the old boxing adage goes, "You have to dance with who brought you". I wish I had the ability to front and be someone that I am not, but I can't. It really sucks.
I found out what the real problem is, as you will read in the next post.

This kid who works as a stock boy and who I regarded as a cool kid named Angel Perez ****ed me over. He is this idiot who I used to be friends with, but obviously not any more. I was speaking with his sister Stephanie 2 days ago on the bus home. She asked me about Lizeth, and then started bad mouthing her to see how I would react.
Then she asked me "Did you say you wanted to lick her toes?" I was like "What?!". I may have said that in a joking manner to Angel, as guys often joke about sexual things amongst each other behind the blue wall of silence.
I asked her who told her that, knowing full well that only Angel knows that I have a foot fetish. She told me a cashier named Monica told her. I have never in my life spoken a single word to Monica. If what she says is true, then Angel told Monica, who told Lizeth obviously as they are close friends, and in the middle Monica told Stephanie.
I was willing to accept defeat and that I was simply inadequate and unprepared for this task, but I am crushed to find out that this is the way I am going to lose this girl. Not like this, this is ****ed up.
I know alot of people are going to tell me that it's not that important, that there will be a million and a half other girls out there and whatever, but you have to understand. I got my boy Miguel a job at the grocery store I work at, and we were on the bus getting ready to go home. I pointed out Lizeth and said "Oh no, here she comes!"

When she got on the bus, she sat catty corner from me, and to **** with me, Miguel was like "Yo Sensation, there she is." And he kept doing it. Then I gestured to him that I would kill him. When she got on the bus, she sat catty corner from me, and to **** with me, Miguel was like "Yo Sensation, there she is." And he kept doing it. Then I gestured to him that I would kill him. Then to try and change the subject, I started talking nervously about how I cut my hand at the job, and then Lizeth started talking to me about the cut! We had about a 10 minute conversation in which I made her laugh a million times. I have known this girl for only a week, but I think I'm in love. Her name is Lizeth, she's Japanese-Peruvian, and she works at my job. She's mad cool. For starters, she's very attractive. She has a japanese face with a spanish body. It blows my mind to see a girl who looks japanese speaking fluent spanish. She also has an incredible smile, with buck teeth, which are my weakness. She's only like 5'1 or 5'2, which is awesome because it makes me feel really tall when I'm standing next to her. I'm only 5'6, but I was walking and talking with her and had to bend over to talk to her, which made me feel really special.
Secondly, she's like the female version of me. We're both half asian, she listens to Metal (**** Emo!), plays sports, is antisocial, and her favorite band is KoRn. She only has 2 friends, and they are girls so I don't need to go through her phone book and kill everyone. She likes to oil paint and we both make websites. I can't make this **** up, believe me. She was a backup quarterback for the North Bergen football team, a NJ High School Football dynasty. We were talking about different formations and **** and how to scramble out of a Nickel zone blitz and ****. This girl is incredible! I have never liked a girl this much in my life. I think she likes me too as we talk all the time at our job. I have never been this motivated in my life. I think I might love this girl.

I have decided that this will be one of my final posts in this thread, as I have assessed that this thread is no longer a necessity. But I have some things to say.

On Saturday, she sat next to me on the shuttle bus after work. We started out just bull****ting, the equivalent of the first few rounds of Hopkins-De La Hoya. Then we started talking more honestly, about the job, how we both misbehave from time to time and this and that. Then I made her laugh with one of my bail out confidence building jokes, and I paused. I just sort of watched as she laughed out loud for a prolonged period of time, smiling and taking in the moment like a great fighter entering the ring for what may be his last shot, as I was unsure given he hot/cold openness to me and my inconsistent confidence when I would see her laugh again.

It was then that I realized that I have more going for me than to just be a chump who is going to let himself destroy himself any longer. I have always equated FAILURE with QUITTING, as sick as that sounds. I realize that this wasn't a defining failure as I first thought, but an important and effective learning experience. While nobody knows what my future holds, maybe even future success with her, I know that I am a much stronger, experienced young man than I was when I first met her.

It sounds to me like youre growing up Asian. You sound much different than you did when you first started posting and I cant be the only one that notices the difference. Given time, this girl wont enter your mind..the irony is about that time she's bound to start coming after you instead. Just wait til you start college...there will be PLENTY of gals..you'll see! :)

Then I decided I would ask her to the movies again, since it had been 5 months since I was last rejected. But something didn't seem right so I put asking her off a little more until everything was right.
On Friday, we were on the bus going home and I showed her my Ghost in The Shell 2 DVD and she "seemed" very interested in the dvd. She started flirting with me and getting very warm to me. I suddenly noticed that when she handed me back the case, it felt lighter. The dvd was gone. She started ****ing with me and changing the subject and laughing like a ****ing lunatic everytime I brought the subject back to the dvd. I should have been more alert, although I tend to lose focus when a girl puts her hand in my pocket.
The next day, she returned my dvd, although I was a little confused and a little lost by what had occurred. I asked her "Did you like the movie?" She said "I like the first one better." So I ran to the video store, rented it, and then asked her to go to my house Wednesday and watch the movie. I told her I'm bringing one friend (a mutual friend Mike) and that she could bring her friends. She started making retarded excuses about how she doesn't like going to house parties (Who the **** said it was a party) and laughing like a mad man, obviously enjoying the attention.
So now shes ignoring me again, thoroughly enjoying my, although less visible than in recent months, misery. Why is it always the pretty ones?

I gained a little ground today, as I decided to ignore her a little, be seen in the company of female coworker friends, while getting in a joke or 2 to show I am not embittered or suffering from shook confidence. It went well until later when I gave into my worst tendency, which is to talk too much. That left me open to her counter, blatant emphasized accented apathy and being ignored.
I feel a little helpless, as there is nothing I can do, but apparently this girl is really just a sadistic girl who understands how beautiful she is and knows how to exploit it. You can't blame a girl for taking advantage of what God gave her, I guess.

All the mexicans and pinoys remember that day. Thats the day Pacquiao lost a close decision to Erik Morales on PPV. I remember that day because earlier that morning, I asked Lizeth out on a date. She said no. So I took a 4 or 5 month break from tlaking to her while I prepared myself mentally and physically for the harsh punishment that is boxing. I am much harder on myself than is healthy sometimes. So I asked her out again on the morning of the Pacquiao-Morales rematch and she says yes, with a tentative agreement on the movie King Kong. I recall as a young child I was bullied alot by guys much bigger than me. I then discovered how much I love boxing and it made me more focused as a human. I discovered men like Manny Pacquiao, Aaron Pryor and Ricardo Mayorga who would take your best shot, tell you to suck their dick, then put you in intensive care. I realized that their is greater glory being on your own team. Being the bad guy and being hated makes me feel much stronger, kind of invincible. Because I know I can make my own rules and do anything I have to to win. I need you to hate, you make me stronger. All the mexicans and pinoys remember that day. Thats the day Pacquiao lost a close decision to Erik Morales on PPV. I remember that day because earlier that morning, I asked Lizeth out on a date. She said no. So I took a 4 or 5 month break from tlaking to her while I prepared myself mentally and physically for the harsh punishment that is boxing. I am much harder on myself than is healthy sometimes. So I asked her out again on the morning of the Pacquiao-Morales rematch and she says yes, with a tentative agreement on the movie King Kong. Later that night, Pacquiao blows Morales away in 10 rounds. Interesting, huh? For all you wondering why this girl is so special to me, heres one reason:<br>
