John Ruiz doesn't deserve respect from real boxing fans. He hug more than he punches. That's not boxing, that some sort of hybrid crap. He has done more negative image to the heavyweight than good. Him wearing that belt around him doesn't make him anything. I can't wait what this guy say when (if) Tua becomes a contender. But hopefully his rain of terror would end sooner than later.

Speaking of ignoring his loss to Jones...when I watched that Sweet Science video about the Jones-Ruiz fight (I got it off Boxing Torrents, it might be in the downloads section here?), he dressed up like a pimp and called Jones his ho. What a guy.

Ruiz is a product of Don King's political pull, he did nothing to deserve a title shot vs. Holyfield, did nothing to deserve a vacant title shot vs. Rahman, and has done nothing with his worthless WBA belt aside from groping and hugging his competition, I hate Larry Merchant but he makes a great point by calling Ruiz the Greco-Roman champ. He's not a boxer, he breaks every rule in the book, and Toney's gonna TURN OUT THE LIGHTS.

The title itself is meaningless without having won it fairly and in convincing fashion. So the answer to your questions would be:

1: Yes, I can blame him, and

I would have to disagree with that. How in the hell could he have won the fight with Golota when:
he was knocked down twice, and had a point deducted for hitting after the break. I seriously do not think he won enough rounds after that to recover.

That was truly a gift decision awarded to the champion.
