How would you rate Sonny Liston's power in comparrison with Foreman's or Ernie Shaver's punching power? Also Liston had a very powerful jab,- did Liston have the hardest jab in the history of boxing?. Later brother brologs.

Liston was a monstrous puncher but he didnt hit as hard as foreman or shavers , he did hit harder than ken norton who was also a huge puncher , thats what ali reckons anyway .

Liston was very powerful and also had quick hands in his prime. I'd rate his power 9/10. Lethal by anyone's standards but still less than what Foreman or Shavers could do. Comparable to Tyson I'd say.

Liston weighed under 200 lbs for one fight early in his career and after that he was 200+. His best weight was around 210. As for him being a cruiserweight, that can't be further from the truth. He was heavily built in both the legs and upper torso. All around a monstrous physique. He also had the largest fists of any heavyweight champion at 15". He was no cruiserweight.
